DIVISION I RANKED TEAM SCORES

No. 1 Grove City (17-1) keeps rolling with a 3-2 win over No. 26 Gahanna. Senior Brandon Gooch picked up the win. Junior Drew Artrip led the way with 3 hits including the game-winner in the 6th. Senior Mitchell Stephens added a hit and 2 RBI.

No. 2 Centerville (18-2) 

No. 3 Strongsville (14-2) 

No. 4 Massillon Jackson (13-1) 

No. 5 Ashland (15-2) lost to DII's No. 7 West Holmes 2-0. Northern Kentucky recruit Aric Harris struck out 10 while giving up 6 hits and two runs in the loss. West Homes junior Gabe Snyder threw a shutout giving up 4 hits.

No. 6 Anthony Wayne (16-1) topped No. 40 Perrysburg 12-3. Deion Tansel finished with three singles and scored two runs. Josh Lindke added a single, double and two RBI, while getting plunked twice.

No. 7 Hudson (16-1) beat Stow 5-4. Hudson scored 3 runs in the top of the seventh inning to break a 2-2 tie and then held on to win the game 5-4. CJ Tosino picked up his first save working out of a 2 out bases loaded jam. He induced a ground ball to second base to end the game. Brian Malerick picked up his seventh win of the year striking out seven in six innings of work. Alex Tench drove home the tying runs in the sixth inning with a key 2 run single for Hudson and Bryan Reginald collect 2 singles and 3 RBI for Stow.

No. 8 Moeller (15-4) is tied at 6-6 against Elder in the 7th with the game suspended. It has been rescheduled for early May.

No. 9 Mason (15-4-1) beat Middletown 8-2. 

No. 10 Avon (17-0-1) topped Elyria Catholic (12-6) 9-3.

No. 11 Walsh Jesuit (14-2) 

No. 12 Norwalk (17-2) 

No. 13 Mayfield (15-2) topped Twinsburg (10-9) 1-0.

No. 14 Elder (16-5) is tied at 6-6 against Moeller in the 7th with the game suspended. It has been rescheduled for early May.

No. 15 Willoughby South (12-4) topped Eastlake North (7-7) 2-0.

No. 16 St. Xavier (13-3) beat LaSalle 6-2. 

No. 17 Toledo St. Johns (10-2) cruised past Lima Senior 14-0.

No. 18 North Royalton (12-4) fell to No. 20 Brunswick 9-2. 

No. 19 Sandusky (14-4) 

No. 20 Brunswick (13-3) beat No. 18 North Royalton 9-2. Akron recruit Anthony Bova went 4-4 with 3 singles, a double and RBI. Tyler Greiner had a 3 run homerun, single and 3 RBI. Kyle Burson added a double and single with 2 runs scored.  Brandon Kutrubs (5-0) got the win going 7 innings with 5 strikeouts and giving up only 2 earned runs. Kutrubs also had a double and single with 2 RBIs at the plate.

No. 21 Anderson (15-4) fell to No. 45 Kings 5-2.

No. 22 Loveland (15-4) lost to unranked Milford 2-0. Milford junior Zach Cook pitched a 2-hit shutout. Cook struck out 5 for his 4th win of the year. 

No. 23 Findlay (10-5) fell to Toledo Central Catholic 9-1.

 fell 3-1 to Fairless (10-8). Fairless and Indian Valley were locked up in another pitchers duel between Jordan Knight and Shawn MIlls. Fairless was able to strike first when Mike Durben hit a double off the fence in center to plate Travis Widder. Jordan Knight and Derek Kuecher followed it up with back to back RBI singles that gave the Falcons a 3-0 lead. Jordan Knight kept the Braves off balance all night, and they were only able to put together a rally in the 6th when Brady Byers hit a RBI single to cut the lead to 3-1 and put runners on 2nd and 3rd with one out. Knight buckled down and struck out Brandon Fox and got Dusty Byers to pop out. Knight went the distance winning his fourth straight decision while striking out 8 and walking only one.

 clinched at least a share of the SWBL Buckeye Division title. Sophomore Josh Tarter threw a complete game while allowing 2 hits and striking out 5 batters. Sophomore Alec Turner went 2 for 3 with a double and homerun while knocking in 3 runs.
