DIVISION I/II TEAM RANKINGS

#1 Strongsville (6-0)
 beats North Royalton 5-1. Unsigned senior Austin Pritchard receives his third win of season going three innings with three strikeouts and two hits. Junior Carl Reinhart pitched four innings with seven strikeouts, one hit, and two walks. The mustangs continue to prove their aggressiveness on the bases and the deep pitching staff they have. 

#2 Mason (5-2) 

#3 Defiance (5-0) 

#4 Massillon Jackson (5-1) beat Louisville 8-3. Jackson pitchers combined for three strikeouts in the win. Louisville sophomore right-handed Joey Duckworth looks to be a potential prospect. The 6-foot-2, 180-pound prospect struck out 9 Jackson Polar Bears in his losing effort. He gave up 4 runs through 6 innings. 

#5 Centerville (6-0) 

#6 Grove City (7-0) beat Reynoldsburg 9-3. Junior Drew Artrip picked up his second win of the season. Sophomore Tyler Cowles anchored the offense with 3 hits. Artrip, senior Tyler Kent, and junior Drew Nankivell added two hits a piece.

#7 Elder (7-3) beat Hamilton Badin 2-1.

#8 Walsh Jesuit (5-1) 

#9 St. Ignatius (4-1) beat Boardman 6-0.

#10 Moeller (6-2) beat Carroll 6-2.

#11 Columbus DeSales (8-2) beat Ready (4-2) by a score of 12-2. Brennan Schlabig was the winning pitcher for the Stallions.

#12 Mentor (3-0) beat Elyria 10-3.

#13 Sandusky (4-0)

#14 New Albany (7-0) beat Hillard Bradley (1-4) by a score of 7-1. Senior Wynston McMartin (Youngstown State recruit) pitched a complete game allowing while allowing one hit. 

#15 Willoughby South (2-0) beat Riverside 8-0. Senior Cam Knott picked up the win with 7 scoreless innings on the mound. He allowed 3 hits, 2 walks, and struck out 8 batters. Unsigned senior outfielder Stephen Scaccia had a triple to help the offensive effort. 

#16 Toledo Central Catholic (3-1) defeated Otsego 5-2 Wednesday night under the lights at the new Mercy Field.  It was a great pitching dual between two top-flight Junior pitchers. Junior Jake Rudnicki picked up the win pitching 6 and 2/3 innings giving up 4 hits and striking out 11 while Otsego junior right-handed pitcher Ryan Smoyer was equally as effective scattering four hits with only one leaving the infield. Sophomore Derech Weiland had a 2 run double in the 3rd inning and sophomore Chad Kuebler laid down a squeeze bunt in the 5th inning that plated two runs for the Irish.

#17 Hudson (6-0) beat Twinsburg (3-5) by a score of 3-0. Duncan Moran tripled to lead off the 2nd inning for Hudson and scored on a Fielders Choice by Joey Cahill to give starting pitcher Brain Malerick all the run support he needed. Malerick stuck out 5 and yielded only 3 singles to pick up his third win of the season.

#18 St. Xavier (4-2) beat Alter 8-4.

#19 Norwalk (7-0) 

#20 Jonathan Alder (5-1) beat Olentangy Liberty (4-1) by a score of 6-5.

#21 Steubenville (3-1)

#22 Ashland (6-0) beat Mansfield again tonight 13-2 in 5 innings. Aric Harris (NKU recruit) gave up 1 hit while striking out 8 going the 5 innings.  Ashland pitchers have given up 14 hits and 4 runs in 6 games. Derek Ward and Zach Bernhard both hit home runs.

#23 Anthony Wayne (3-1) beat Whitmer 9-8.

#24 Troy (7-1) 

#25 Brunswick (4-1) 

#26 North Canton Hoover (5-0) beat St. Thomas Aquinas 12-1.

#27 Gahanna Lincoln (6-2) beat Newark by a score of 9-2. Sophomore southpaw Evan White picked up the win.

#28 Bowling Green (5-1)

#29 Canton South (5-1) 

#30 Milford (6-2) lost to La Salle (3-4) by a score of 13-5. Senior Logan Miller scattered 6 hits and 5 runs (4 earned) over 7 innings to collect his first complete game of the season. Junior Tyler Haubner went 2-4 with 2 runs scored and 4 RBI. Junior Bailey Abbatiello went 2-4 with 2 runs scored and 2 RBI. Junior A.J. Petri went 2-4 with 1 run scored and 2 RBI.

#34 Westerville Central (8-2) beat Westerville South 13-2. Connor Sitz (OU recruit) hit a first inning homerun to jump start the Warhawks' offensive effort.

#35 Anderson (5-0) 

#36 Lakota East (5-2) beat Princeton 6-2.

#37 Amherst Steele (3-2) 

#38 Glen Oak (4-1)  

#39 Olentangy Orange (6-0) beat Mount Vernon 4-3 in 8 innings of play. Junior Paul Trick picked up the win and senior Luke Wolford (Dayton recruit) recorded the save. 

#40 Perrysburg (2-1-2) beat Eastwood and talented sophomore southpaw Nick Vespi by a score of 2-1. Perrysburg's Nick Munger pitched a complete game allowing 3 hits, 1 earned run, and striking out 5 batters. Vespi struck out 10 batters in the losing effort. Sophomore AJ Stockwell knocked in Hunter Smith (Miami recruit) to bring in the winning run. 

#41 Vandalia Butler (4-4) 

#42 Loveland (7-0) beat Little Miami 4-3. Senior Reed Schlesner (Miami recruit) was the winning pitcher with 7 strikeouts.

#43 Shaker Heights (4-1) beat Cleveland Heights 10-2.

#44 Fairfield (7-0) beats Sycamore 1-0 behind a complete game shutout from senior Curtis Olvey (Kent State recruit). The righty struck out 14 while allowing two hits over 8 innings of play.

#45 Archbishop Hoban (5-2) 

#46 St. Edwards (1-2)

#47 West Holmes (7-0) beat Wooster 7-1. Junior southpaw Gabe Snyder had a no-hitter through seven innings, but eventually gave up a hit in the 8th. He gave up one earned run while striking out 9 batters. He also added a double with 2 RBI's to help propel Wooster to victory.

#48 Pickerington North (3-2) loses to Mount Tabor (NC) 3-2. Junior catcher Matt Poland had two doubles in the losing effort. 

#49 North Olmsted (5-1) loses to Holy Name (4-2) by a score of 8-6. Tyler Sullivan and Mike Mayer both go 2 for 3 in the winning effort. 

#50 Chillicothe Unioto (6-0) defeated Zane Trace by a score of 2-0. Bryce Arledge (2-0) threw a complete game 2 hitter.  He struck out 6 in the win. The Shermans were led by Adam Woods, Luke Parker, and Caleb Leslie with 2 hits each.  


DIVISION III/IV TEAM RANKINGS

#1 Keystone (5-1) beat Oberlin 7-0. Senior Caleb Shillace (Toledo recruit) pitched 6 shutout innings giving up 2 hits and striking out 9 batters. He also added two hits and two RBI. 

#2 Maderia (6-3) 

#3 CHCA (5-1) 

#4 Carlisle (9-1) beats Milton Union 10-0. Senior Alex Leach went 4 for 4 with 3 doubles, a triple, and 3 RBI. Sophomore Alec Turner was 2 for 3. Sophomore Josh Tarter pitched a complete game to pick up his second win. He allowed 3 hits and struck out 10 batters.

#5 Defiance Tinora (7-0) 

#6 Independence (6-1) 

#7 Summit Country Day (8-0) beat Cincinnati Country Day 10-0. Junior Tommy Crowl picked up his second win while going 3 for 4 at the plate with a double and 2 RBI.

#8 Adena (7-0) beat #10 Piketon 2-1 in a matchup of two of the top teams from southeastern Ohio. Adena senior right-handed pitcher Kirk Yates was the winning pitcher with 8 strikeouts, 4 hits, and 2 walks. Piketon junior left-handed pitcher Zach Farmer took the loss with 13 strikeouts, 1 hit, and 3 walks. Piketon's Shane Pack went 2 for 3 with an RBI. Adena's Austin Hottinger had a triple for the team’s only hit and 2 RBI.

#9 Minster (3-1)

#10 Piketon (6-3) lost to #8 Adena 2-1. Adena senior right-handed pitcher Kirk Yates was the winning pitcher with 8 strikeouts, 4 hits, and 2 walks. Piketon junior left-handed pitcher Zach Farmer took the loss with 13 strikeouts, 1 hit, and 3 walks. Piketon's Shane Pack went 2 for 3 with an RBI. Adena's Austin Hottinger had a triple for the team’s only hit and 2 RBI.

#11 Coldwater (5-1)

#13 Mariemont (3-4) beat Finneytown 10-0. Unsigned senior Erik Swanson threw a complete game while striking out 14 batters.

#14 Wheelersburg (2-0)

#15 Hamilton Badin (3-4) 

#16 Archbold (4-1)

#17 Bloom Carroll (6-2) bounced back with an 8-0 league victory over Hamilton Township. Senior Ben Kerr went 3 for 4 with a single, double, and triple driving in 5 runs. Junior Jake Newton also added 3 hits. Junior Blake Smith went 6 scoreless allowing only 5 hits striking out 4 on route to the win.

#18 Fairview (5-1) 

#19 Canton Central Catholic (4-1) beat Garaway 9-0. Junior Jake Krupar picked up the win on the mound.

#20 Ottawa-Glandorff (4-2)

#24 Seven Hills (5-0) beat Cincinnati Christian 8-5.

NON-RANKED TEAM SCORES

Worthington Kilbourne beat Hilliard Darby 5-3. Junior Brian Sommers pitched a complete game to earn the win for the Wolves. Tom Scantland had 3 RBI.

Solon (4-1) beat Stow (2-4) by a score of 5-2. Senior Nate Schechter picked up the win. 

Highland (4-2) beat Green (2-4) by a score of 7-4. Junior Jacob Priese picked up his second win of the year on the mound. 

Lexington (3-4) defeated Clear Fork (2-2) 4-2 behind sophomore pitcher Brody Basilone. Basilone gave up 1 run in 5 innings pitched. Freshman Evan Lee worked a perfect 7th to pick up his first varsity save. Basilone also had two hits.

Canal Winchester defeated Amanda Clearcreek 6-1. Junior Josh Miller was 3-4 with an RBI. Junior Kevin Ilich 2-4 with a double, 2 RBI, and a stolen base. Unsigned Senior John Sharp was 2-3. Unsigned Senior Chris Angle picked up the win.       

The Tallmadge Blue Devils (4-2, 4-0) completed a two game sweep of Suburban League opponent Lodi Cloverleaf (3-4, 1-3) by a final of 5-4. Senior Matt Shomo (1-0) got the win for Tallmadge throwing 5 and 2/3 innings. Tallmadge committed six errors accounting for three Cloverleaf unearned runs. The Blue Devils pounded out 12 hits to 4 for the Colts. Junior Cordt Skraba had three singles, Shomo added a single, double and RBI. Senior Tucker Linder had a single, double and two RBI's. The Colts were led by junior first baseman Victor Diaz who had a solo HR and scored twice.

Kings (4-2) beat Wilmington today 7-3. Unsigned senior left-hander Ben Glischinski pitched 6 innings with 12 strikeouts while allowing 4 hits. Junior David Hare had a triple that scored 2 runs. He also had great catch in the outfield that turned into a double play.

Springboro (7-1) beats Colonial Beach (VA) 18-2 and Whitney Young Magnet (IL) 9-8 during their spring trip in Florida.  

New Richmond (8-0) beats Western Brown by a score of 8-0. 

Chardon (4-1) beat Lakeside 12-2.

NDCL (1-1) beat Benedictine 6-2.

Granville (5-0) beat Newark Catholic 9-1. Michael Steensen (Akron recruit) came out on top of a pitching duel with Jimmy Lough (OSU recruit).

St. Chalres (7-1) beat Hartley 10-0.

Licking Valley (5-1) beats Whitehall 6-3. Freshman Drew Morrison goes 6 innings allowing 3 hits, 3 earned runs, and strikes out 11 batters. First year coach Adam Arcurri's squad off to a strong start.

Lake (6-0) beat Delta (0-6) 15-3 in five innings. Senior Corey Hotmer blasted 2 doubles and had 6 RBI. Senior Thomas Nichols went 4 innings, striking out 4.

Shelby beat Upper Sandusky 9-7.

Liberty-Benton beat Arcadia 9-7.

Pandora-Gilboa beat Arlington 14-1.

Leipsic beat Hardin Northern 14-1.

McComb beat Vanlue 9-5.

Continental beat Columbus Grove 3-2.

Miller City beat Ottoville 9-2.

Lakota beat Carrey 16-0.

North Baltimore beat Tiffin Calvert 2-0.

Thomas Worthington (7-1) split two games on their road trip today. In the first game, Thomas beat Highlands (KY) 12-1. Sophomore Nick Pauley got his 3rd win. Senior Wes Lindenmuth led the offense with a multiple hit game. In the second game, Thomas lost to Meade County (KY) 8-3. In the losing effort, Kegan Lanter led offense going 3-3 with 2 singles, a double, a walk and RBI.

Dublin Coffman (4-2) beat Central Crossing (2-4) by a score of 7-0. Junior James Walsh pitched a shutout for the Rocks.

Dublin Jerome (3-3) beat Westerville North (2-4) by a score of 1-0. Junior Masashi Sakamoto threw a complete game shutout.  

Big Walnut beat Watkins Memorial 10-3. Senior southpaw Rob Sexton (WSU recruit) took the loss for Watkins. 

London (6-1) lost to Greenfield McClain (2-7) by a score of 2-1. 

Medina lost to Henry Clay 1-0. Vanderbilt recruit Walker Buehler of Henry Clay HS struck out 10 and scattered 5 hits in shutting out Medina. Medina Junior Andrew Sokolowski was the tough luck loser. Sokolowski threw a complete game allowing only 4 hits with the only run scoring on a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 5th inning.
