Prep Baseball Report and Between the Lines teamed up for a scout day on January 19th featuring 27 players from the 2022 class to a few players in the 2026's.  The event was held at the BTL facility and featured traditional showcase metrics with tee exit velocities, BP, positional velocities, pop times, and then bullpens for the pitchers.  There were multiple players that put up impressive numbers on the dya and full event stats and details can be found by clicking here.

The top fastball velocity from the event was put up by 2023 William Schulte of Olathe North at 86 mph.  Jack Laird was right behind him at 85 mph and Logan Harley Smith led the way in the 2024 class at 79 mph.  Brad Janes showed some impressive arm strength from the 2025 class coming in at 82 mph while Levi Robertson led the way for the 2026's at 76 mph.

The fastest home to first time at the event was clocked in at 4.18 from 2024 Cole Heitmann of De Soto high school.   Lukas Dudek started his impressive day by running a 4.27 with Richard Groebl also putting up an impressive time in the 2024 class at 4.31.  Lynden Haynes from Blue Valley West put up the top home to first time for the 2025's at 4.33 showing some real speed potential and Julian Simon led the way for the 2026's at 4.62 down the line.

Shulte once again put up an event best this time with the exit velocity station posting a 91 mph exit velocity off the tee.  Charles Gates and 2024 Richard Groebl were right behind him at 90 mph.  Brad Janes showed some serious strength in the hands for the 2025 class with an 89 mph exit velocity with Tyler Barnes leading the way in the 2026's at 86 mph.

Jack Laird put up the top arm in the infield posting an 88 mph arm across the diamond.  William Schulte was not far behind him at 87 mph with Cole Heitmann having the best reading for the 2024's at 81 mph.  Porter Swaim led the way in the 2026's at 78 mph and Max Johnson posted the arm in the 2025's at 74 mph.

Charles Gates had the best arm from the outfield group reaching the 90 mph mark from the 2023 class.  Right behind him was 2022 uncommitted player Lukas Dudek at 86 mph and Brade Janes of the 2025 class hitting the 86 mph mark as well.  

Gates also showed real promise from behind the dish where he put up pop times in the 1.83-1.91 range and 79 mph from the crouch.  Owen Gietzen, a 2025 from Mill Valley, also showed an impressive catch and throw at 1.87-1.91 and 74 mph from the crouch.
