Badger State Tournament: Preview

By Andy Sroka
Staff Writer

This Thursday, the fourth annual Badger State Battle will lift off at the Woodside Sports Complex in Mauston and the Wisconsin Dells. The Badger State Battle has sprouted from an in-state select tournament to one of the region’s premier summer invite-only tourneys. This season’s Battle will feature 40 teams from Wisconsin, Illinois, and Minnesota, ranging from 16U and 17U.

Pool play will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday and run through Saturday’s slate of games. On Sunday, the top four teams from pool play will advance to bracket play, regardless of age, where they’ll have a shot to take home some silverware.

The tournament, in its entirety, will be reported on and scouted by the Prep Baseball Report staff.
