Baton Rouge Fall ID: Preview Story

Alex Armand
Louisiana Scouting Director

Baton Rouge, LA - On Sunday, October 15, 2023, the PBR Louisiana staff will travel to Catholic BR High School, to host the Baton Rouge Fall ID.  This event is our last event of the fall, in Louisiana, and is set to host over 20 players, that includes some familiar names and fresh faces that we're excited to see.

EVENT HISTORY

The last time we were at Catholic BR High School was exactly one year ago, in October 2022, for last year's Louisiana Fall ID.  That event helped us identify prospects to circle, ahead of the spring high school season, and there were several good prospects on hand.  2023 OF Daniel Harden (Catholic BR HS) had a stellar day, running a 6.83 in the 60, while showing a smooth left-handed stroke, with a max exit velocity of 93.6 mph.  We were also able to see 2025 MIF Casey McCoy (Dutchtown HS) for the first time at last year's event, and he's since risen all the way into the Top-10 of our 2025 State Rankings, while recently announcing his verbal commitment to the University of Louisiana.

+ 2025 Jaxon Bentzler (Northwood HS)

+ 2025 Aiden Karr (John Curtis Christian HS)

Click here to learn more about our tech partners that have enhanced the showcase experience for our players.  Partners like Trackman, Blast Motion, and Swift Performance have helped both our in-event evaluation process, as well as the compilation of our post-event scouting reports - and they're also a tool for our players to learn more about their measured and collected data that can be applied to improve upon their game.  Finally, please wear the proper baseball attire (hat, pants, molded cleats or turfs ONLY, NO spikes).  A numbered PBR jersey will be provided to each participant.
