PBR Game Spotlight: Blissfield vs Dundee

Game 1 
Dundee downed Blissfield 11-0 as Tommy McComas (LHP, 14) threw a six innings only allowing 2 hits.  He also struckout eight and did not walk a man in the shutout effort.  Senior shortstop Dylan Williams hit a two-run homerun in the bottom of the sixth to invoke the mercy rule.

Dundee's AJ Carpenter (2013) went 3-3 with two doubles and two RBI while Tyler Loveday (2013) was 2-3 (double, 3 RBI) and Williams also had two hits (HR, double, 2 RBI). Dundee scored five unearned runs in the third following two infield errors by Blissfield.

Blissfield starter Tyler Watters (2014) suffered the loss.  He lasted three innings, surrendering seven runs, however only two of them were earned. Blissfield's best offensive threat came when Skylar Miller and Tyler Bevins led off the fifth and sixth innings with hits but Blissfield was unable to advance them.

 

Game 2
Blissfield's Dylan Thompson (RHP/1B, 13, 1 hit, 5BB, 3K) limited Dundee to 1 hit and 3 unearned runs in 5 innings as Blissfield defeated Dundee 4-3. Tyler Watters pitching the last two innings for the save.

Dundee scored 2 unearned runs in the top of the first on just one hit - an RBI single by Dylan Williams (RHP, 13).  But that was the only hit they got. Blissfield scored four runs in the third on three hits and a walk highlighted by Alex Zaciewski's  two-RBI single and Tyler Watters' two-run homerun to left. Other than, the third inning Williams only allowed three base runners (2 singles, 1 walk) while striking out 8.
