The inaugural 2016 Border Battle featured top uncommitted underclassmen from Kentucky and Tennessee at Western Kentucky University this past weekend, and what transpired was an impressive display of talent from the two states.

With a large contingent of college coaches and PBR National Crosschecker Shooter Hunt watching, Saturday featured some of the top uncommitted juniors (with a few high-level younger players mixed in) from both states. Position players participated in a pregame workout prior to playing a double header for state bragging rights. The two nine-inning games were pitching dominated as offense was at a premium in Kentucky’s 4-1 win in the opener and Tennessee’s 3-1 win in game two.

Sunday followed the same format as Saturday with some of the top uncommitted sophomores both states had to offer. Tennessee posted a 5-3 victory in game one, and the two teams would play to a 4-4 tie in game two in two evenly matched contests.

The following is a look at the top statistical performers from Team Kentucky for each day of the event.
