PBR: Why did you choose the school you did?
Maier: It fit my academic needs and I felt the coaches could provide me with a great opportunity to develop at the next the level.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?
Maier: I had multiple offers to choose from.

PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you?  How did your relationship develop with them?
Maier: First through video and an individual work out at the campus and we kept communicating after that.

PBR: Do you feel relieved now that the process is over and you can just focus on baseball and not deal with everything that goes into picking a school?
Maier: Yes.

PBR: Was there one deciding factor that put your choice over the top?
Maier: The way the coaches treated me during the process and the developed culture they have created there.

PBR: Who has helped you the most to get to where you are today?
Maier: My parents and various coaches who have sacrificed many hours for me.

PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process?  Was it easy/difficult?
Maier: I just tried to enjoy going through the process and let what ever happened happen.

PBR: What plan does the coaching staff have in store for you in the freshman season?
Maier: Work hard, learn, and develop.

PBR: What is your most memorable baseball moment to date?
Maier: Batting .455 last year during high school baseball.

PBR: Who is the best player that you have competed against?
Maier: I have competed against a lot of good players in the past, so I don’t have a particular person.
