PBR: Why did you choose the school you did?

Danielson: I knew right after I left campus for the first time that NDSU is where I wanted to be. I loved the campus, baseball facilities and everything else the program had to offer.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?

Danielson: University of Minnesota and Mankato (MN State)

PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you? How did your relationship develop with him.

Danielson: They said Coach Ditch first saw me in a 4th of July tournament in Rapid City, SD with my Legion team Sophomore year. Coach Oakes contacted me that summer and told me he'd be in contact often, and he was.

PBR: Do you feel relieved now that the process is over and you can just focus on baseball and not deal with everything that goes into picking a school?

Danielson: Definitely! Picking a school is an overwhelming process and it was a great feeling of accomplishment finding a great fit.

PBR: Was there one deciding factor that put your choice over the top?

Danielson: Well, I really like the way the coaches run the program.  Their philosophy really seemed to fit my goals and needs. I also loved the campus and town I'd be living in there.

PBR: Who has helped you the most to get to where you are today?

Danielson: My hitting coach Cory Glieden, without his coaching in the last few off seasons I wouldn’t be the player I am now.

PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process? Was it easy/difficult?

Danielson: I don’t think it was difficult, but the process altogether took longer than I thought it would.

PBR: What plans does the coaching staff have in store for you in your freshman season?

Danielson: The coaches see me coming in to compete for playing time at catcher.

PBR: What is your most memorable baseball moment to date?

Danielson: Winning the High School state championship my sophomore year.

PBR: Who is the best player that you have competed against?

Danielson: The Stillwater duo of Frisch and Gilbert
