Prep retook the lead in the bottom of the 6th on a solo homerun to left field by Will Lucas. Prep scored another run in the inning on an RBI single by Patrick Steed to make it 3-1.

Guilford did not go down quietly though as they scored two runs in the top of the 7th inning on a 2-run single from Sean Kellaher to tie the score at 3-3.
