Watson Chapel 10 vs Russellville 9

Watson Chapel defeated Russellville 10-9 in comeback fashion, in the consolation bracket of the Central Arkansas Invitational, Monday night.

The teams combined for 20 hits, 19 runs,  14 walks and 4 errors. An entertaining game but not the most well-played game of the day.

Offensive standouts- 2018 MIF Braelin Hence went 2 for 3 with 2 walks, an RBI and 2 runs score to set the table for Watson Chapel. 2018 OF Bryson George had a good day for Russellville recording 2 hits, 2 walks, 2 runs scored and a RBI.

On the mound 2018 Garrett Dennis picked up the win for Watson Chapel throwing 2.6 innings with 6 strike outs and allowing 0 earned runs in his relief appearance. Both teams will advance in the consolation bracket with Russellville playing Van Buren and Watson Chapel playing Alma.

In the nigh cap Conway defeated Sylvan Hills 5-0, Conway advances to the semifinals to play Benton while Sylvan Hills will move on to play 5A contender Little Rock Christian.
