The Prep Baseball Report is the No. 1 resource for high school baseball in each state we cover through our variety of events, boots-on-the-ground scouting staff, daily coverage, and multimedia platforms. Our multimedia platforms and events work in tandem, ultimately creating the most powerful source of high school baseball promotion in each state.  While other organizations take a national approach, our goal is to become the authoritative voice on the ground level of each state.

Daily Roundup: 3-12-19

 

Heritage 7 Cherry Creek 4

Visiting Heritage took down the Bruins on Tuesday.  Heritage went into the bottom of the 6th up 7 to 1 but gave up 3 runs in the bottom of the 6th but held on to win 7 to 4.  Fisher Mahoney (2020) led the way for Heritage going 1 for 3 with 2 RBI’s, and Jakob Boos (2020) was 2 for 2 with an RBI.  On the mound, Eric McKnight (2019) and Pete Chronowski (2019) combined for the win.

 

Dakota Ridge 12 Mountain Range 2

Dakota Ridge beat up on Mountain Range on Tuesday. The Eagles were led by Ryan Stohr who pitched 4 solid innings giving up 1 run on 2 hits striking out 7 while also hitting a 2-run homerun. The Eagles were also paced by Ben Biffinger (2019) who went off at the dish hitting 2 home runs, driving in 6 runs and going 2 for 2 at the dish.

 

Columbine 7 Chaparral 2

The Rebels came out swinging and beat up on Chaparral on Tuesday.  Chaparral’s only 2 runs came in the bottom of the 1st inning.  Columbine pitchers; Brady McLean (2020) and Jacob Gimbel (2019) combined to allow just 3 hits.  At the plate Cole Collins (2019) led the way for the Rebels going 1 for 2 and driving in 2 runs.

 

Cherokee Trail 8 Rangeview 4

Cherokee Trail started out slowly but put up a 3 stop in the 3rd and another 3 runs in the 5th to beat Rangeview on Tuesday.  The Cougars were led by, Cade Simpson (2020) who went 2 for 3, scored 2 runs and drove in 1, and Kellen Cox (2019) who was 2 for 4 with and RBI.  Kellen also started on the bump and had a great day on the mound going 4 innings allowing 0 earned runs, 1 hit, and 4 strike outs.

 

Mullen 10 Bear Creek 0

Mullen visited Bear Creek on Tuesday and came out blazing scoring 7 runs in the top of the 2nd inning and never looked back.  The Mustangs freshman Trevor Moore (2022) was 1 for 2, with a long ball and 3 RBI’s and C. Brickley (2019) was 1 for 3 with 3 RBI’s.

 

ThunderRidge 2 Broomfield 0

ThunderRidge only had 2 hits but scored the only 2 runs in the bottom of the 6th inning to beat a very good Broomfield team 2-0 on Tuesday.  For the Grizzlies, Corey Ritchie (2019) started the game and went 4.1 innings allowing just 3 hits and striking out 7 Broomfield hitters.  Broomfield pitcher Zach Macosko (2019) had a great day on the mound going 6 innings allowing just 2 hits to go along with 6 K’s.

 

Ralston Valley 13 Brighton 6

Ralston Valley’s Owen Grimm (2019) had a great day at the plate to lead Ralston Valley on Tuesday.  Owen went 3 for 4 with 4 RBI’s and 2 jacks.

 

Pueblo West 7 Air Academy 0

Jayden Cordova (2019) helped Pueblo West win on Tuesday going 2 for 4 with 1 RBI.

 

Highlands Ranch 6 Vista PEAK Prep 0

Highlands put up 4 runs in the bottom of the first inning and Zack Medina (2019) Lance Opp (2019) Chase Olivier (2020) combined for 7 innings of 1 hit baseball, to go along with 12 strike outs.
