A beautiful evening for baseball meant plenty of action last night.  Here are your scores and highlights from around the state.

#1 Mercer Co 12, #4 West Jessamine 2 (5 Innings)
Brandon Doughty homered twice in the 2nd inning as Mercer County erupted for 9 runs and cruised to the victory.  Doughty finished the night 3-for-3 with 2 HR and 5 RBI, while Alex Gooch, Russell Sims, Curry Brown, Jackson Stoeckinger, and JT Long each collected 2 hits apiece.  Long worked 5 innings with 3 K’s to pick up the win.

#2 Tates Creek 9, Western Hills 1
Devin Hairston went 2-for-3 with a triple and RBI, Blake Rose went 2-for-3 with a double and RBI, and Matt Neal collected 2 hits and drove in 2 runs in the Tates Creek victory.  Tanner McCoy allowed 3 hits and struck out 6 in 4 shutout innings of work.

Pelham AL 6, #8 Henderson Co 5

#9 Beechwood 10, St. Henry 5

#11 Paducah Tilghman 15, Hickman Co 5 (6 Innings)

#12 PRP 8, Southern 0
Zach Dillander went 2-for-4 with a double and RBI, Andrew Bratcher collected 2 hits and scored 2 runs, and Jared Wilson blasted a 2-run HR in the PRP victory.  Dalton Miller picked up the win, allowing 3 hits and striking out 7 in 6 innings of work.

#14 Danville 14, Wayne Co 2

#19 Male 10, #3 St. Xavier 0
Justen Linares went 3-for-4 with a triple, RBI, and scored 3 runs, Lincoln McBride went 2-for-4 with 3 RBI, and Tyler Capito went 2-for-4 with a double and RBI as Male upended St. Xavier.  Cole Dickerson scattered 6 hits in going the distance for the complete game shutout.

#21 South Laurel 10, Pulaski Co 0 (5 Innings)

#22 DeSales 18, Jeffersontown 9
Trenton Saylor went 3-for-5 with 3 doubles and 5 RBI, and Dillon Sievert went 4-for-6 with a double as DeSales banged out 13 hits in the win.

#23 North Oldham 7, Oldham Co 4
Cameron Masterman homered and drove in 4 runs, Andrew Pennybaker went 3-for-4 with a double and 2 RBI, and Peter Sohn collected 2 hits to lead the North Oldham offense.  Logan Morsman worked 6.1 innings to pick up the win.

#24 South Oldham 16, Trimble Co 2 (5 Innings)

North Bullitt 4, #25 CAL 0
Darren Harper pitched 6 scoreless innings for North Bullitt.

Bethlehem 3, Hancock Co 0
In a game that featured just 1 hit combined between the two teams (Hancock Co), Bethlehem managed to plate 3 runs for the victory.  Corey Robinson and JT Mattingly combined for the shutout.  Hancock County pitcher Kourt Morris held Bethlehem hitless in his 6 innings of work.

Apollo 7, Crittenden Co 3
Nate Hopewell drove in 2 runs, and Jason Taylor struck out  11 in going the distance for the Apollo win.

Meade Co 5, Fairdale 2
Zeb Wilson went 2-for-3 with a double and RBI, and Josh Durbin allowed 2 earned runs and struck out 6 in going the distance for the win.

Marshall Co 11, Clayton MO 4
Austin Johnson went 2-for-2 with a double and 3 RBI, and Mason Wooten drove in 3 runs in the Marshall County win.  Winning pitcher Cody Clark allowed 3 earned runs in 3 innings of work.

Franklin Co 6, Anderson Co 3
Alex McKinney went 3-for-4 with a HR and 2 RBI, and Rylan Rowe added 3 hits and drove in a run for Franklin County.  Quenton Brownlee picked up the win allowing 3 hits and no earned runs with 6 K’s in 6 innings of work.

East Jessamine 13, Bryan Station 1 (6 Innings)
Luke Thatcher went 2-for-5 with a RBI as East Jessamine took advantage of 8 walks and 5 errors in the victory.  Conner Lindsay picked up the win, working 5 innings and allowing 3 hits and 1 earned run with 4 strikeouts.

Campbell Co 10, Newport Central Catholic 3
Joe Kremer went 2-for-4 with a double and 2 RBI, Blake Losey collected 2 hits, and Brady Sansom and Josh Reynolds each drove in 2 runs in the Campbell County victory.  Joey Dawn allowed 2 earned runs in 5.2 innings to pick up the win.

Russell Co 9, Metcalfe Co 0
Brett Kimbler went 2-for-2 with 2 RBI, Lucas Bault collected 2 hits, and Ben Stephens drove in 2 runs in the Russell County rout.  Grant Best allowed just 1 hit and struck out 7 in 5 shutout innings to record the win.

Taylor Co 11, Caverna 1 (6 Innings)
Taylor County stretched its winning streak to 12 games in the rout.  Jack Miller went 2-for-2 with a double and 3 RBI, Justice Gregory doubled and tripled, and Tyler Frogge and Jordan Nicholas each added 2 hits in the win. 

Conner 4, Simon Kenton 2
Ryan Ward went 3-for-4, Blake Hart collected 2 hits, and Dustin Baker homered in the Conner win.  Ryan Gosney scattered 5 hits and allowed no earned runs in the complete game effort on the mound.

Butler 19, Central 1 (5 Innings)
Tyler Embry, Lazaro Sosa, Jonathan Thrasher, Travis Weber, Alex Phillips, and Kyle Lewis all had multi-hit games in the Butler rout.  Treylyn Overall allowed 1 earned run in 3 innings to pick up the win.

Somerset 9, Clinton Massie OH 7
Jacob Pelston went 2-for-4 with a double and 2 RBI, Trae Harmon went 2-for-2 with a double and RBI, and Addison Thompson added a HR in Somerset’s win. 

Mason Co 12, Fleming Co 2 (5 Innings)
Cody Whisman went 2-for-3 with a HR, and Lukas Greenhill and Michael Sutton each doubled and drove in 3 runs for Mason County.  Sutton fired a complete game no-hitter with 6 strikeouts.

Boyd Co 19, East Carter 4
Brock Dameron went 6-for-6 with 2 doubles and 4 RBI, Dylan Grimm added 4 hits and 2 RBI, and Billy McCoy added 3 hits and 2 RBI in the win.  Kyle West allowed 1 earned run in 5 innings to pick up the win.

Muhlenberg Co 7, Caldwell Co 0
Kyle Moore went 2-for-4 with a double and 2 RBI and allowed 2 hits with 8 K’s in 6 innings of work on the mound to lead Muhlenberg to the win.

Glasgow 3, Greenwood 0
James Kingery hit a 3-run HR to lead Glasgow to the win.

Rockcastle Co 7, Casey Co 2
Bryan McGuire went 2-for-3 with a triple and RBI, and Chayse McClure and John Conelius each added 2 hits in the win.  Winning pitcher Austin Emery struck out 6 in 6 innings of work to pick up the win.

Graves Co 4, Livingston Central 2 (5 Innings)
Tyler Harlow went 2-for-2 with 2 RBI, Justin Hayden went 2-for-3 with a double and 3 RBI, and Tanner Smith added 2 hits and a RBI in the Graves County rout.  Peyton Puckett pitched 3 innings to record the win.

Logan Co 8, Warren Central 2
Jacob Wood and Matt Harper each collected 2 hits and 2 RBI, and Ian Woodall went 2-for-3 to help Logan County to the win.  Winning pitcher Hunter Britt scattered 5 hits in a 76-pitch complete game effort.

Greenup Co 2, Ashland Blazer 1
Korey Morris went 2-for-3, and Tristan Downing and Chase Clary each drove in a run as Greenup County won the one-run contest.

Nelson Co 2, LaRue Co 1
Alex Briney and Jonathan Breeding drove in the runs for Nelson County, and Tyler Spalding made them stand for the Nelson County win.  Spalding scattered 4 hits and struck out 4 in going the distance in the complete game effort.

LCA 15, Sayre 1 (5 Innings)
Drew Schacht went 3-for-3 with 2 doubles and 3 RBI, Andrew Barker went 3-for-3 with a double and 5 RBI, and Frederick Rupp doubled twice and drove in 2 runs in the LCA rout.  Cody Kalinowski allowed 1 earned run in 3 innings to pick up the win.  Lincoln Henzman, back on the mound following Tommy John surgery last year, struck out 4 in the final 2 innings.

Dixie Heights 8, Ryle 3
Ethan Harrison went 3-for-3 with a double and 2 RBI, and Henry Kerns added a double and RBI as Dixie moved to 6-0 on the season.  Nick King allowed 4 hits and 2 earned runs while striking out 6 in 6.2 innings of work for the win.
