Rain plagued most of the state yesterday, therefore a very abbreviated daily roundup that includes the handful of games able to be played last evening.

Greenup County 4  Ashland Blazer 1
Seth Boyle did it all for Greenup, going 2-3 with a double and RBI at the plate, and throwing a complete game 5-hitter with 5 K’s on the mound.  Kyle Grubb added a double and RBI. 

Boyd County 6  East Carter 5
Trailing 5-4 in the 7^th, Boyd County pushed across two runs for the win.  Sophomore catcher Jacob Barnwell went 2-3 with a double, and Dylan Grimm and Jake Cook each had 2 hits and 2 RBI in the victory.  Zack Patton struck out five over the final two innings to pick up the win in relief. 

Betsy Layne 9  South Floyd 6
Kannon Newsome collected 4 hits and 4 RBI while also throwing a complete game with 12 K’s to pick up the win.  Michael Henson went 3-4 with 2 doubles and 2 RBI to contribute to the win.
