Daily Roundup: April 9 Games



#2 Crown Point 4 #22 Lake Central 1 – Ron Plesac got the win throwing six innings allowing one unearned run, five hits, and striking out 13. Zach Plesac led the offense going 2-4 with two RBI and a run scored. Jake Jatis and Tyler Downing both doubled and drove in a run. 

#5 Andrean 8 Griffith 4 – Jimmy Skiff got the win throwing six innings and striking out eight. Joey Plesac led the offense going 3-4 with a RBI and two runs scored. 

#10 Greenwood 7 Martinsville 6 – Aaron Murray got the win throwing two innings allowing one hit and striking out one. Landon Fink got a no decision allowing just on earned run, four hits, and striking out six. At the plate he was 2-3 with a run. Alex Krupa hit a two run homerun, Ethan Bailey was 2-3 with two RBI, Conner Beidelman was 2-4 with a RBI and a run, and Tylor Martin doubled and drove in a run. 

#12 FW Northop 12 FW Wayne 0 – Cole Ferguson got the win allowing just two hits. Tyler Huth doubled and homered in the win. 

#14 Greensburg 15 Connersville 0 – Collin Rigney got the win throwing all six innings allowing just two hits and striking out five. Kyle Moeller led the offense hitting a grand slam and totaling five RBI on the night. 

#17 Norwell 5 Huntington North 0 – Luke Hunter got the win allowing just two hits. 

Adams Central 11 Woodlan 1 – Cooper Hill threw a complete game to get his second win and as many days. Dalton Combs led the offense going 5-5 with two doubles. Isaac Luginbill was 3-4 with a homerun. Conner Lengerich, Isaac Soldner, Matt Schwaller and Hill each had a hit. 

Alexandria Monroe 13 Lapel 0 – Blaize Kelly was dominant on the mound getting the win while allowing just one hit, two walks, and striking out 12. He was 2-4 at the plate with three RBI. Jake Fox was 2-4 with two RBI and three runs, Derek Dinehart was 3-4, and Jesse Gossett double, drove in a run, and scored twice. Cory Allen and Owen Young each drove in two. 

Batesville 6 Rushville 1 – Bryan Hoeing threw a complete game allowing one unearned run on two hits and striking out eight, he also doubled and drove in a run at the plate. Nick Kirschner was 2-2 with a double and three RBI and Austin Westerfeld doubled and drove in a run. 

Boone Grove 8 Wheeler 2 

Culver Academy 9 Morgan Township 3 – Colin Dean was 2-3 at the plate with a double, three RBI, and two runs scored. Kyle Bartelman was 2-5 with a double and three runs and Colin Raver doubled, drove in two runs and scored once. 

Clinton Central 8 Clinton Prairie 4 – Jeff Scott got the win throwing six innings allowing one run on four hits and striking out eight, he was also 4-4 at the plate with two RBI and two runs. Jake Burton was 3-3 with a RBI and two runs and Justin Blevens was 2-4 with two doubles and three RBI. 

Cloverdale 8 Monrovia 2 – Tyler Carter led the offense going 3-3 with two RBI and run, Austin Mannan was 2-4 with a double and two runs, Brayden White homered and drove in two, and Cody Carter doubled and drove in a run. 

Danville 6 Frankfort 3 – DJ Eckert got the win throwing all seven innings allowing just two hits and striking out eight. 

Delta 12 Muncie Southside 4 – Alex Maloney led the way going 2-4 with a double, homerun, three RBI, and two runs. Skyler Brand was 2-2 with a double and a RBI, Trey Bland was 2-4 with a double and a RBI, and Cade Jones was 2-2 with a RBI and three runs. 

Fairfield 9 Churubusco 2 – Jordan Hochstetler got the win throwing all seven innings allowing two runs on five hits and striking out nine. Tony Zook homered, drove in two, and scored twice. 

Herbon 14 North Newton 3 – Hebron pounded out 18 hits in the game led by Kyle Joyce’s 3-3 performance. Joyce doubled, homered, drove in two runs, and scored four times. Stephen Doelling also homered going 3-4 in the game with three RBI and three runs. Drew Wheeler and Bryce Hanaway were both 3-4 and Jason Reick and Donovan Friel both doubled and drove in three runs.

Hobart 11 Munster 1 – CJ Komosa got the win throwing all five innings allowing just two hits and striking out four. Drey Deveraux was 3-3 with a double, two RBI, and two runs scored and Tyrus Joseforsky was 2-4 with a double, two RBI, and two runs.

Lafayette Central Catholic 2 West Lafayette 1 F/9 – Hayes Cronk threw a nine inning complete games allowing one unearned run on three hits, no walks, and striking out seven. Ryan DeBoy led the offensive attack going 2-4 with a double and two RBI. 

Lebanon 4 Western Boone 3 –Travis Herrin got the win throwing six innings allowing two earned runs on three hits and striking out 12. He also led the offense going 2-3 with a homerun and three RBI. Coty Edwards was 1-2 with a RBI and a run scored.

Lowell 7 Kankakee Valley 5 – Myles Siendentopf got the win throwing six innings allowing one earned run, one hit, and striking out nine. At the plate he was 2-4 with a double, RBI, and run scored. Dan Garza was 2-2 with a double, RBI, and run scored and Jordan Hansen was 2-3 with two runs.

Merrillville 2 Michigan City 1 – Jon Feliciano got the win throwing all seven innings allowing three hits, one walk, and six strikeouts. Jose Carbajal led the offense going 2-3 with two RBI.

North Central (Farmersburg) 11 Clay City 9 – Jacob Hauger had a big day at the plate going 3-3 with two homeruns, four RBI, and three runs scored. Collin Harding also had a big game going 3-4 with a double, triple, two RBI, and three runs. Dustin Boyll was 3-4 with a double, RBI, and two runs and Jason Reed was 2-3 with two RBI. 

North Putnam 2 Eminence 2 F/9 – Beau Green threw eight innings for North Putnam allowing two unearned runs on three hits and striking out 14. Devin Haymond was equally impressive for Eminence going all nine innings allowing two runs on six hits and striking out 13.

Plainfield 2 Whiteland 1 – Plainfield scored in the bottom of the seventh to get the walk off win. Connor Mitchell got a no decision after throwing six innings allowing one run on two hits and striking out 15. Anton Hummel picked up the win throwing a perfect seventh striking out two. Michael Gulley was 3-3 with a double and a run scored. 

Portage 4 Chesterton 0 – Tyler Kniola threw a complete game shutout allowing just five hits, no walks, and striking out four. Peter Psomadelis went 2-3 with a run scored and Tyler Soberg drove in a run.

Roncalli 13 Southport 3 – Drew Biddle led the offense for Roncalli going 3-3 with a homerun, four RBI, and two runs scored. Pauly Milto went 2-3 with a homerun, two RBI, and two runs and Aaron Schnell homered and drove in two runs.

Speedway 11 Brebeuf 2 – Bryce Pennington was dominant on the mound throwing a complete game allowing just one hit and striking out four.  Quentin Billington had a big day at the plate going 4-4 with two doubles and five RBI. Nick McCormick was 1-2 with three runs scored and Sam Ahrens was 2-4 with RBI.

South Putnam 15 Cascade 6 – South Putnam trail 6-3 going into the sixth inning, but put up a 10 spot to take the lead. Grady McHugh, Joe Waters, and Tyler Long each had two hits and drove in two runs.

Sullivan 12 Bloomfield 0 – Camdon Kuppler threw a five inning perfect game striking out seven. Cody Turner was 2-3 with a RBI and two runs, Noble Harrison was 2-2 with two RBI and three runs, and Casey Garner drove in three runs. 

University 4 Northwest 2 – Sam Nerney got the win throwing four innings allowing one hit and striking out seven. Tyler Carlson got the save throwing the final three innings and striking out six. Eric Wott was 2-3 with a double and Eric Metzman scored two runs.

Wabash 14 Bluffton 10 – Wabash scored in all but one of their at bats. Shea Beauchamp was 3-3 with his sixth homerun of the year, three RBI, and three runs. Grant Sailors was 3-5 with a homerun, two RBI, and three runs and Landon Cole was 2-4 with a homerun and three RBI. Devin Bitzel was 2-3 with three RBI and Isiah Smith was 2-3 with two RBI.

Westfield 11 Perry Meridian 4 – Jacob Robinson got the win throwing five innings giving up two runs on four hits and striking out five. Nathan Manworren led the offense going 2-3 with a double, triple, four RBI, and two runs. Chris Ayers was 2-3 with double and two RBI and Chris McCrary doubled and drove in three.

Yorktown 14 Daleville 2 – Jacob Preston got the win throwing four hitless innings allowing no runs and striking out five. Ryan Cates led the offense going 3-3 with a double, two RBI, and two runs. Zeth Tanner was 2-2 with a double and a RBI, Austin Stout was 2-2 with three runs, Joe Bush hit a homerun, and Travis Knight doubled and drove in two runs.
