Brighton (TN) 12, Brimfield 1

A 10-run deficit headed into the bottom of the first all but officially handed Brimfield their first loss after winning in their season opener yesterday.

Brimfield 11, Haywood (TN) 4

In the second game of Brimfield’s Tuesday doubleheader, the Indians got a solid performance out of their stater Tyler Wessels, who went 5 innings and struck out 8 and allowed just three runs. The offense was able to muster across four runs in the 4th and another five in the 6th to seal their second win of the early 2018 season.

Mount Vernon 5, Salem 3

Salem’s Nathan Roth threw four shutout innings and tossed 6 strikeouts before a three-run 5th put Mount Vernon in front where they’d stay the remainder of the game. Mount Vernon's Weston Brockhouse threw a strong four innings that kept his team within reach of the lead.
