Here is a look at some of the scores from around the state on Wednesday, March 22, 2017.


Farragut 9, Hardin Valley Academy 5
Jake Hagenow and Parker Noland each hit a solo home run on Wednesday night to take down the Hawks of Hardin Valley.  Zach Younger (2-3, 2B, 2 R) and Cade Burkey (2-4, 2 R, 1 RBI) also contributed strong offensive performances for the Admirals.  Owen Kovacs got the W out of the bullpen.

Clarksville 9, Northeast 0
Luke Chilcutt put together a very strong performance on Wednesday night for the Wildcats.  Chilcutt threw a complete-game shutout, tallying 8 strikeouts and allowing only 2 hits and 1 walk in 7 innings.  Sylar Luna led the offense, finishing 2-3 with a double, 2 RBI, and 2 runs scored.  Teal Young finished 2-3 and Garrett Spain added 3 RBI of his own.

Independence 4, Centennial 0
Robert Hassell led the Eagles with his work on the mound on Wednesday night, throwing 4 innings of 1-hit baseball, allowing 4 walks while striking out 6.  Dillan Saunders pushed the offense forward, finishing 3-4 with a double, 1 RBI, and 1 run scored.  Matthew Hargrove recorded the 3-inning save, allowing only 2 hits and 1 walk.

Beech 12, McNairy Central 0
Ian McWilliams tossed a 5-inning perfect game on Wednesday night to lead the Buccaneers to a clean victory over McNairy Central.  McWilliams struck out 11 in those 5 innings.  Ryan Mortensen and Chase Waller led the offense, combining to go 5-6 with 4 doubles, 4 RBI and 4 runs scored. Hunter Crawford had a huge game in the second half of their double-header.

Oakland 9, Siegel 5
Jacob Pennington led the patriots to a victory over the Stars on Wednesday night, both on the mound and at the plate.  Pennington finished 2-3 with 3 RBI, while striking out 6 hitters in 2.1 innings of work on the mound to record the save.  Dillon Miller also finished 2-3 with 2 RBI and 3 runs scored.

Rossview 15, Northwest 1
A total team effort helped push the Hawks to victory on Wednesday night.  David Bowman, Ross Stephens, and Austin Jackson combined to toss a 6-inning no-hitter, striking out 11 and walking 5 in.  Brayden Barnes, Grey Epps, and Elijah Pleasants combined to go 8-12 with 3 doubles, 2 RBI, and 9 runs scored to lead the offense.
