Here is a look at some of the scores from around the state on Thursday, March 23, 2017.


Beech 7, Brentwood 3
The Buccaneers gutted out a win on Thursday morning, thanks to a strong all-around performance.  Ty Sutley finished 2-3 with 1 RBI and 1 run scored, while also tossing 4 innings of 1-hit baseball on the mound. Dalton Hall also finished 2-3 and Matt Riley recorded the 3-inning save.

Franklin County 6, Soddy Daisy 3
Franklin County received a strong performance on the mound from Bracken Henson on Thursday afternoon to take down the Trojans of Soddy Daisy.  Henson threw 5 innings and allowed 5 hits, 3 walks, and 1 unearned run.  Chris Tyler finished 2-2 with a double and 2 RBI.

Covington 10, Sycamore 0
Ty Warmath tossed a 5-inning no-hitter on Thursday evening to set the tone for the Chargers' victory.  Warmath struck out 8 and allowed only 2 walks.  Tyler Higgins, Brock Lomax, and Tommy Flanagan combined to go 6-6 with 5 RBI and 2 runs for the offense. 

CAK 10, Sevier County 6
The Warriors stayed hot on Thursday evening, grinding out a victory over a strong Sevier County team.  Zane Keener led the offense, finishing 3-5 with a home run, 3 RBI, and 3 runs scored.  CAK also received multi-hit performances from 4 others.  Preston Burleson got the W on the mound.

Siegel 9, Oakland 0
After losing to the Patriots on Wednesday, Siegel came back and put together a dominant performance in their 9-0 Thursday night victory.  Zac Pearson tossed the complete-game shutout by allowing only 3 hits and 1 walk, while striking out 8 in his 7 innings of work.  Matt McCurry, Andrew Benefield, and Ryker Kristinus combined to go 7-13 with 3 doubles, 1 home run (Kristinus), 7 RBI, and 6 runs scored. 

Elizabethton 5, Volunteer 2
The Cyclones muscled out a victory on Thursday evening against Volunteer, thanks toa strong performance on the mound by Evan Carter. Tossing 4 innings of 1-hit baseball, Carter put Elizabethton in a great position.  Michael Robinson had a hit, a run, and 3 RBI, while Logan Estep finished 3-4 with an RBI of his own.

Collierville 6, Magnolia Heights (MS) 2
Tyler Sherman dealt 6 innings and allowed only 4 hits, 2 walks and 1 run to earn the W for the Dragons on Thursday night.  Sherman also struck out 4.  Christopher Straw finished 2-4 with a double and 4 RBI, while Noah Hattier added a hit, 2 RBI and 2 runs scored.

Pope John Paul II 5, Northeast 2
Nate Pianto got the W on the mound for the Knights on Thursday night, throwing 6 innings of baseball and allowing 5 hits, 3 runs (1 earned), and 2 walks.  Jake Rucker stayed hot, finishing 4-4 with a run, while Jack Shuttleworth drove in 2 runs of his own.
