Dexter's Maisch Throws One Hit Complete Game Shutout

In an SEC conference crossover matchup, the Dreadnaughts of Dexter hosted the Eagles of Ann Arbor Skyline.  Both teams came into the day with a 4-1 record sitting atop of the standings in their respective divisions.

The Dreadnaughts were lead by Brennan Maisch, class of 2013, who threw a complete game one hit shutout for Dexter blanking Skyline 7-0 in game one.  Maisch, who was effectively wild early in the game, settled down to finish the day with three walks and striking out two.

The Dreads offensively were lead by Mike Mioduszewski, class of 2012, who went 3-4 coming only a home run short of the cycle.  Hank Dreffs, class of 2012, added two hits to help pace the offense for the Dreads.

The game two matchup featured unsigned senior Dylan Pierce, class of 2012, who went six innings allowing one hit and one run (no earned runs) and striking out 5.  Pierce was followed by Ben Finn, a Siena Heights commit, who threw two innings surrendering one hit while striking out four.  The game ended in a 1-1 tie due to darkness.  This game will not be continued.
