Houston commit. ReyRey was the starting pitcher in 2 games this week.  Monday vs CC Winn, 5 innings 9 K's and Saturday vs NB Canyon, 5 innings 6 K's.  Versus NB Canyon he also hit 2 HR's in the game, both were 2 run shots. The second one was to break the 3-3 tie and win the game 5-3.  He hit a total of 3 HR's this weekend, 10 RBI, 2 - 2B, 1 - 3B.

Texas A&M commit. He pitched 7 innings with 9k's in our 7-1 defeat of Round Rock HS. He also hit.429 over the weekend with 2 DB's, 3 RBI's.

Both HR gave us the lead in each game for good, including grand slam vs Ennis LHP Kade Bragg.

Boise State commit. Stats for the Week: 4-12 .333 ave., .600 ObP, 1.083 slugging 3  home runs, 8 RBI, 8 runs, 5 walks, 8 stolen bases, 4 hit by pitches. Cole was an absolute stud at short stop 28 total chances no errors and 4 double plays.  About 5 highlight plays that were unreal!

4 Games in the Kennedale Tournament this weekend he went 8 for 13, .615 average, 4 1B, 3 2B, 1 3B, and 5 RBIs. Roc also played third in three games and caught a game behind the plate and played very well defensively.

Helped Harper to 5-0 record to begin season in week 1.  Hit .571 going 8 for 14 w/ 5 RBI, 6 R, 2 DBL and 2 SB. Also went 2-0 on the mound w/ 6 K’s, 3 BB, 5 hits and 1.40 ERA.

Mark Alonzo, CF/P, Brownsville HS, 2020
Alonzo went 6-14 with 2 doubles and 3 rbis. What was impressive about this week is that he had gone hitless his first 6 at bats of the year and went 6 for 8 the last 3 games of the week with 3 rbi’s, 2 doubles and 2 runs scored. Another impressive moment is picking up his first win of the year coming in the last 3 innings of the game to pick up a 6-5 victory. He had the game winning 2 rbi double to take the lead and secured the win the following inning striking out the side with bases loaded. Defense did not play well behind him and he ensured a victory by punching out 3 consecutive batters.

Sayers Collins SR - RHP - 3b, Legacy Christian Academy
Sayers had 12AB, 6 hits, 5 singles, 1 triple, 5 RBI, scored 3 runs and 1BB. He also pitched a great game against FW Southwest. He gave up 5 hits 3 earned, 4 strikeouts and 1 walk. Sayers did not strike out in the tournament. He hit .667 with runners in scoring position. He is another senior leader for us and is off to a great year at the plate and on the mound.

10AB 6hits 3 singles, 2 doubles, and 1HR  8runs scored 3BB. Braxton had an excellent week. He is one of our senior leaders. He led off game four of the tournament with a home run.

Pitched a 1 hit shutout on Thursday, 2/21 vs Mesquite Poteet striking out 8. Collected 7 hits in 4 games including a 3-3 effort Saturday vs Kaufman in which he got the game winning 2 rbi base hit. 5 RBis total for the week.
