Pitcher of the Week

 Anderson Nance, RHP/SS, Morehead HS (Eden), 2024

+ Complete game shut out vs East Surry with 15 K's only gave up 5 hits. 67% strike rate
+ FB was 90-92 all night. Commanded 3 pitches for strikes. 
+ 5-0, 27 IP, 0.52 ERA, 61 K's  

Eli Beekley, Catcher, South Iredell, 2026
+ Hit .777 for the three games during the week of 3/27-3/31. Eli was 7-9 with 2 doubles and 5 RBI. Also added 2 Runs scored and 2 SB's for the week to help lead South Iredell to a 2-1 record for the week.
+ Eli had the game winning RBI in the top of the the 6th inning on 3/28 vs West Cabarrus with his RBI double In South Iredell's 1-0 victory. 
+ 2026 Freshman Catcher Eli Beekley, is currently (13-32) hitting for a .406 Batting Average. Leads team in batting average and Is 2nd in RBI's with 7.

+ Tate continues to dominate from the mound.  He had 11K through 4 innings against Eastern Alamance on Friday and finished with 13 for the game.  Flashed 87 on the fastball and the slider is a swing & miss pitch that comes in at 80-82MPH and breaks late.
+ Has 47K in 27 innings.  Had 5 hits as a batter last week, just one shy of the number of hits he's allowed all season from the mound.  Has started 5 games and only allowed 4 TOTAL RUNS, all unearned.

+ Sophomore righty Bennett Miller threw a complete game shutout in Cannon school’s first ever win over Charlotte Christian on March 30th.
+ The sophomore captain Miller now leads the team in innings pitched, and has an ERA of 1.00 to go with 17 strikeouts and just three walks.
