Diamond Notes is a weekly compilation of notes on North Carolina players from last week.  Each week Coaches from across the state send in player notes and stats as the PBR staff is working to name a PBR Player of the Week.  PBR scouts are also compiling player notes from attended games, as well as box scores from across the state.

Below we take a look at some of the top performers from May 10 - 16. The NC Player of the Week was Senior LHP/OF Garrett Moffett.  Moffett helped to lead Wayne Country Day to the NCISAA 2A State Title with a big week at the dish and on the bump.

+ Carter hit back to back HRs against RJ Reynolds on Thursday 5/13. His first plate appearance he hit a 2 run HR and a solo shot in his second plate appearance. In his third plate appearance he hit a single and ended up going 3-4 for the game.

+ Eli pitched a complete game against Hickory Grove in the 2nd game of the state Championship series.  He allowed a bunt single and a bloop single behind first base.  That was the only ball to go to the outfield the whole game.  No other batted ball made it to the outfield.
