Eastern PA Top Prospect Games Day One Review

A number of prospects had impressive performances on the first day of the 2016 Eastern PA Top Prospect Games. A full review of all prospects in attendance will follow in the week ahead. For now here is a brief look at those that stood out on the the first day of the two day event.

+ 2017 RHP Joe Preciado (Council Rock North) sat 85-87 during three solid innings of work with three strikeouts.

+ 2017 RHP Nick Picariello (Germantown Academy) topped at 86 mph with above average command of a 75 mph curveball with three strikeouts.

+ 2018 RHP Aidan Frye (Springside Chestnut Hill Academy) topped at 86 mph with late life to his fastball striking out five in three innings of work.

+ 2017 C/OF Matt Kephart (Lower Dauphin) impressed with the top round of batting practice on the day and followed it up with a 2-for-3 day at the plate with a triple.

+ 2017 OF Curtis Robison (Northern York) built on his performance at the recent Big 26 Classic by going 2-for-2 with a triple in game one action.

+ 2020 SS/3B Luke Storm displayed abilities from both sides of the plate during a solid round of batting practice and drove a ball over the left field wall from the right-side of the plate in game action.

+ 2018 C/RHP Hunter McGarvey went 2-for-3 with a triple and displayed above average defensive abilities behind the plate while topping at 84 mph on the mound.

+ 2017 SS Carson Gantz (Northampton Area) flashed top of the order offensive abilities with a short left-handed stroke and above average foot speed (4.06 home-to-1B in game) with two infield singles and a walk.

+ 2017 C/OF Dominic Bertone (Garnet Valley) impressed with gap-to-gap power during a solid BP session and flashed that power with an inside-the-park home run during game action.

+ 2019 SS Drew Mummau showcased advanced defensive abilities and a sound offensive approach with a 2-for-4 day at the plate, turning around an 86 mph fastball for a single to the pull-side in his first at bat.

Day Two Schedule:

11:00am  Red Team vs. Blue Team
  3:00pm  Black Team vs. White Team

* Players report 90 minutes prior to game 
* Defensive evaluations will precede each game
