Elite 8 Rankings (Week 8)

Regular season baseball has come to a close and section play begins tomorrow. Following is a brief look at the changes in each classification this week. CLICK HERE to see the complete Week 8 rankings.


Class AAA


The big school classification remains unchanged this week. Heading into section play the Hurricane Redskins (21-5) remain at the top of Class 3A.

Class AA


Herbert Hoover (23-4) remains at No. 1 as teams prepare for the post season. The only changes in this classification this week are at numbers seven and eight where Wyoming East (20-6) and Fairmont Senior (15-7) trade spots.

Class a


No. 1 St. Marys (24-1) continues to hold down the top spot heading into sectional play. Returning to the poll this week at No. 8 is Valley Fayette (15-9) after a period of several weeks where they had not been ranked.
