Fall Kickoff Showcase Games Preview

On Saturday, September 23rd, Prep Baseball Report Texas will host the Fall Kickoff Showcase Games at Midway High School in Waco, TX. This event is open to all high school aged players in the 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021 classes.

We still have a several spots for Pitcher Only's. As well as a Corner Infielder and Outfielder. If you are interested in attending CLICK HERE.

Highlighting some of the players in attendance will be 2019 SS Couper Cornblum (Midway HS). Cornblum entered our 2019 Class Rankings after our staff saw him this summer (Texas Scout Notebook: Uncommitted 2019’s). Ranked No. 76 in TX, Cornblum is one of the top uncommitted shortstops in the state, he has athletic, smooth actions in the middle of the field, and swung the bat well this summer.

2019 SS Kade Sanchez (Caldwell HS) was a standout performer at the North Texas Underclass Games. Sanchez, Ranked No. 137 in TX, is a gritty player, and solid defender with quick footwork and a strong arm. He plays with real energy in the middle of the field.

LUNCH: Players should bring something to eat/snack on. No food will be provided.

CLEATS: Players should bring their cleats and turf shoes/running shoes. Metal spikes are allowed on the playing surface. NO Metal Spikes are allowed in the cages, players must wear turf/running shoes.

Position Players:

Check-in at 8:45 am - 9:15 am

Pitchers:

Check-in at 10:30 AM.

Game one to begin approximately 11:30 AM.

Format:

Position Players will undergo a pro-style workout including BP and defenisve evaluations followed by a live game with scripted playing time.

Pitchers will throw in a live game with a conservative pitch count to protect the arms of the prospects.

Exposure:

The showcase will be featured on the Prep Baseball Report website, which is subscribed to by more than 800 colleges and pro scouts. Event information including statistics and scouting reports will also be posted on the Prep Baseball Report’s website, at PrepBaseballReport.com. Top players will be identified and ranked. Players’ edited videos will also be hosted in the players’ profile along with scouting reports and statistics.
