- Game Notes -  

- Pirates jump on top 2-0 after one. Herb Gordon picks up an RBI on a ground out and Jim Sadler drives in the second run with a sacrifice fly.

- Andrew Muraco continues to show the ability to produce runs, this time a second inning sac fly to right adds to the Pirates lead. Nick Dolan also picks up his second hit of the game in the inning.

- The Spikes get on the board on a base loaded hit by pitch in the 4th. Pirates answer with a sac fly RBI from John Salvitti in the top of the 5th.

- A bases loaded double by Shane Wockley fuels a four run 6th for the Spikes making things interesting moving to the 7th.

- Joe Manesiotis registers his 3rd hit of the game on a bunt single, but is cut down trying to steal one pitch later. Pirates hold on for the win.

- Prospect Notes - 

- 2020 RHP Cameron Knox, a Fordham commit, worked three scoreless innings topping at 86 mph. Also featured an 11/5 breaking curveball at 71-74 with late, biting action.

- 2020 RHP Cameron Goble allowed one run over two innings sitting 82-85. The VCU commit also mixed in an 11/5 curveball at 67-69.

- Game Notes -  

- No scoring in the 1st. Both starting pitchers work around a leadoff base runner.

- Team PBR gets on the board first on a ground out off the bat of Levi Clemens to score Asa Wilson.

- Spencer Butz continues to swing a hot stick for Team PBR picking up his second hit of the game. Following a stolen base Grant Smeltzer picks up an RBI on a ground out.

- A two out RBI single by Jack Gannon extends the Team PBR lead to 3-0.

- Aaron Galaska's RBI double gets the Spikes on the board in the 7th.

- Prospect Notes - 

- 2020 RHP David Linsalata is sitting 77-78 early while mixing a curveball at 65-66 and a splitter at 70-73.

- 2022 RHP Jordan Kolenda is sitting 76-77 with a loose, quick arm for the Spikes.

- 2020 RHP Levi Clemens (North Marion, WV) sat 80-83 from a compact, quick arm delivery in his first inning of work.The uncommitted senior also mixed in an 11/5 breaking curveball at 69-70.

- 2022 LHP/OF James Lordi triples to drive in two runs and then scores on an RBI ground out from Grant Smeltzer to extend the Team PBR lead.

- Game Notes -  

- Pirates take an early 2-0 lead on an RBI groundout from Herb Gordon and and RBI single from Aidan Kelly.

- Pirates add on with RBI singles from Eli Snider and Robert Jones in the 3rd.

- Pirates add four more on the strength of 3 hits, an error and two walks in the 4th.

- Dalton Turner plugs the gap in right center for his second triple of the game. Julian Murray follows with a two out, two RBI single to get the Generals on the board.

- Prospect Notes - 

-  2021 RHP Nick Bitsko sat 90-94 during his 2 innings of work. The No. 1 ranked prospect in PA's 2021 class also showed an 11/5 curveball at 78-80 and a changeup at 82-84.

- 2021 LHP Eric Chalus sat 79-82 from an easy hig 3/4 delivery with command of his fastball to both sides of the plate. His 1/7 curveball at 60-63 showed two-plane depth. He also commanded his changeup at fastball arm speed at 68-70.

- 2020 RHP Steven Graver sat 82-85 from a loose, whippy 3/4 arm  slot. Also showed a feel for his slider at 71-73.

- Dayton commit, 2020 RHP Nick Rispoli sitting 86-87 with and advanced feel for spin. Curveball is two plane at 75-76 with late biting action.

- Game Notes -  

- Pitcher's duel through 3 innings in the final game of the event. Both pitchers matching each other pitch for pitch. Just two hits allowed so far.

- Asa Wilson leads off the top of the 4th with a double, but Sweeney works around it to keep the game scoreless.

- Tyler Dunn singles and comes around to score the games first run for Team PBR on a walk. Spencer Butz singles home two more to make it 3-0.

- Prospect Notes

- 2020 LHP Devin Sweeney, a Delaware commit, is sitting 82-84 from an easy 3/4 arm slot. Also commanding a 1/7 breaking curveball at 67-68.

- 2021 RHP Daniel Kanagy is sitting 80-82 from a high 3/4 arm slot with command of his fastball to both sides of the plate. Working well off his fastball with a two plane, 11/5 curveball at 66-67.

- 2021 RHP Grant Smeltzer working quickly sitting 80-82 out of a high 3/4 arm slot. One hit allowed over two innings of work. Also mixing in an effective changeup at 70-72.
