PBR: How did it feel to be selected to compete in the PBR Future Games?

Ankeney: It was very exciting to get the opportunity to play at an event like this.

PBR: Was your decision to attend hard?

Ankeney: No, it was not hard at all.

PBR: What part of your game do you think was the biggest factor in getting you an invite?

Ankeney: My hitting ability

PBR: Have you participated in any other PBR events? Do you think they helped?

Ankeney: Yes, I think they are great events to help see where you can get better at.

PBR: What was the atmosphere of the Future Games like? Were you impressed?

Ankeney: I was very impressed with how good the competition was and the atmosphere as whole.

PBR: What was the exposure like? Was it nerve-racking?

Ankeney: At first, it was nerve racking but the exposure was awesome.

PBR: What was it like to compete against the best players from other states in the showcase and games?

Ankeney: It was the best experience that has happened to me so far in baseball. The players were very talented and it was fun to play against people of that caliber.

PBR: What was the best part about playing on Team Arizona?

Ankeney: We got to showcase how talented the state of Arizona is and we had fun doing it.

PBR: How has your recruiting process been since you attended the event?

Ankeney: The recruiting process has been good, the event gave me a lot of exposure. I committed to Grand Canyon University a couple months back.

PBR: Would you recommend future players to attend the PBR Future Games? Any advice for them?

Ankeney: I would recommend attending. I would say, play the way you play and have fun. Don’t worry about who might be watching.
