Benton HS 8 vs Catholic HS 8

Benton and Catholic finished an exciting contest in an 8-8 tie in the second game of the Benton Invitational. Both teams had a first round bye but took the opportunity to get some live competition in vs each other. Catholic plays Sheridan and Benton plays Watson Chapel in the second round action today.

Offensively 2016 INF Johnathan Nichols and 2016 OF Lance Harville-Thomas did most of the damage for the Catholic HS both picking up a home run and 3 RBI’s. Benton received a big day from 2017 INF/RHP Ross Carver who went 3 for 4 with a double and 3 RBI’s

On the mound: 2018 LHP Hank Hannah stood out for Catholic pitching 3 and 1/3 innings, striking out 6. 2017 RHP Ross Carver, 2 2/3 innings with two strike outs.
