As we prepare for the most important summer of all time for amateur baseball, PBR OK takes a look into the latest rankings release for the 2021 class. If you missed the 2021 rankings release story, you can find it, here. Today, we will highlight the top 10 uncommitted corner infielders in the state according to the rankings. This group features some projectable frames with already polished hit tools.
SCOUTING REPORT
Showcased advanced athleticism in a projectable 6-foot-2, 165-pound frame with room to add strength onto a lean frame with quick actions. The left-handed hitter begins from a tall, open stance utilizing a leg-kick with advanced sink into the lower half to initiate his swing. Displayed a violent, repeatable swing with noticeable bat speed through a slightly uphill path in the hitting zone. Registered a 91 mph bat-exit velocity while hitting into a stiff front side and ran a 7.09 60-yard dash. The primary third baseman demonstrated long, athletic actions during defensive evaluations with a low center of gravity yielding hands that played through the ball with regularity. Showed off solid footwork that allowed for momentum to be created towards the target consistently while changing direction well, flashing range to both sides. Soft hands and easy transfers generated an accurate 83 mph arm-strength across the diamond from a repeatable, high ¾ arm-slot.
