Instant Analysis All-State Games, Central Arkansas vs Northeast Arkansas

The All State Games are being hosted today at the University of Arkansas Little Rock. The games feature 96 players from all corners of the state. Game three of Sunday featured the Northeast Team vs the Central Team.

Top of the 1st

2018 C Nick Farkouri grounded out to third base to get the game started. 2017 CIF Paxton Wallace followed with a strike out. 2017 MIF Kolby Reck hit a two a double to extend the inning but was stranded when 2019 OF Alex Cauley struck out.

2017 C Andrew Cooper struck out to lead off the 1st, followed quickly by a fly out by 2017 OF/RHP Drew Mullins and a ground out to third base by 2016 RHP/CIF Ty Gordon.

2017 Ryan Flake pops out to first base to start the second. 2018 MIF Bennett Shoptaw followed with a ground ball to short stop. 2017 MIF Zac Freeman and 2016 C Greyson Pinkett drew two out walks before 2016 RHP Chase Kyzer induced a ground ball by 2017 MIF Cameron Tissue

2016 RHP Chase Kyzer competed in the strike zone with a fastball of 84-86 mph with late life. He put hitters a way with a swing and miss slider.

Bottom of the 2nd

2017 RHP Caleb McMunn walked the leadoff to start the second. 2017 MIF Blake McCutchen hit into a fielder’s choice, advanced to second on an error and third on a dirt ball read. 2016 C J Paul Fullerton drives in the run with a groundball to first base. 2017 OF Pierce Mitchum struck out to end the inning.

2017 RHP Caleb McMunn pounded the strike zone with a fastball 78-81 and curveball 67-69 mph with late action.

2017 CIF Shelby Quiggins struck out to lead off the third. 2017 CIF Zachary Douglas hits a single and steals second. 2017 CIF Rive Hunt flies out to left. 2017 MIF/RHP Caleb McMunn draws a walk. McMunn and Douglas double steal to second and third but are stranded when 2017 CIF Cade Tucker strikes out.

2017 MIF Preston Hart grounded out to first to start the 3rd. 2016 OF Christian Hamilton strikes out for the second out. 2018 MIF Pate Fullerton hits a single up the middle but is picked off first for the final out of the inning.

2018 Andrew Hreha strikes out to start the 4th. 2018 Nick Farkouri reaches on an error and 2017 CIF Paxton Wallace walked. 2017 MIF Kolby Reck hit a fileders choice and 2018 OF Alex Cauley takes his walk. 2017 MIF Ryan Flake hits a fielder’s choice to end the inning.

2016 RHP Bryce Bartlett pitched two shutout innings with a fastball of 84-86 mph and complimented it with a sharp breaking ball at 75-76 mph.

2017 CIF Adrian Hannah grounds out to second to lead off the inning. 2016 RHP/CIF Bryce Bartlett strikes out and 2017 C Andrew Cooper grounds out to third base.

2017 RHP River Hunt threw 2 innings. His fastball worked 79-82 mph and curveball was 67-69 with late break.

2016 CIF Shelby Quiggins grounds to first to start the 6th, followed by a ground out 2017 Zachary Douglas. 2017 CIF River Hunt hits a single and steals second. He tied the game up when 2017 Caleb McMunn hits a two out single.

2017 RHP Logan Gilbertson pitched two innings with a fastball of 78-81 mph. He showed advanced pitch ability locating his changeup and curveball for a strike.

Both teams battled back and forth in the 7th with no runs scored. The game ended with a first and third play where 2018 Pate Fullerton was cut down at the plate.
