James
Williamson is in his first season as Head Baseball Coach at Tompkins Cortland Community College. He returned to New York this past August after spending three years in California. Williamson has been involved in college baseball since 2008 since he began his playing career at SUNY Brockport. Following graduation, he assisted Head Baseball Coach at SUNY Brockport, Justin Beach. As an assistant, he helped in all operations including but not limited to: recruiting, managing, player development, and camp instructor.

Williamson has actively been involved in his development as a coach by attending the ABCA (American Baseball Coaching Association) convention; college summer camps at Mississippi State, Navy and Army West Point to better understand how baseball is played and taught. Additionally, he has coached within the NYCBL (New York Summer Collegiate Baseball League) for a number of years, most notably as the Head Coach of the Syracuse Spartans in 2017, where he helped lead the Spartans to the Summer League Championship Series in their inaugural season. This Summer, Williamson joined the coaching staff of the defending NYCBL Champions, the Cortland Crush as a volunteer assistant.

Williamson will serve PBR this summer as Lead Tournament Scout primarily within the Cortlandville area at Gutchess Lumberyard Sports Complex that will host hundreds of High School aged Travel Teams  looking to get seen and pursue their dream of playing college and or professional baseball. “Playing college baseball is still one of my favorite memories to date, said Williamson. What happens at this level (college) is special and I'm glad to be in the middle of it.

"I've gotten very familiar with James over the last eight years while being involved with Prep Baseball Report. He has always shown a high level of professionalism, work ethic, and the ability to evaluate talent on the baseball field. He will thrive in this summer role and every team that makes its way to Cortland, NY this summer will be better because of the scouting coverage his staff puts out". - Dan Cevette, President (NY/PA)
