Joe Walentin Named Scouting Director for New York

The Prep Baseball Report (NY) is excited to announce Joe Walentin as the Scouting Director for the Empire State effective January 1, 2022. Joe previously served as the Director of Operations in NY. In his new role, Joe will work tirelessly getting to know and report on as many NY prospects as possible. Rankings, Scouting Reports, Player Content, Invite list, oversight on the JR levels and more will all fall under the Scouting Directors responsibilities.

Joe's BIO:

Walentin started working PBR events in 2018 assisting with event operations before coming on full time in January 2020. Walentin was a 4 year starting pitcher at DII Concordia College in New York, while also seeing time in the outfield and at first base. After college he pitched 1 season in Independent ball before a shoulder injury. He has been involved in the game for the past 15 years as an instructor and coach and is currently the Pitching Coach at Sullivan CC.
