Emerson, GA. - Team California took the field for the first time here in Georgia, taking on Team Pacific Northwest. Team California achieved victorious 10-7 in a high scoring game this morning.

'27 J. Beckett Berg started on the mound for Team California, going an efficient 4 innings on 41 pitches, logging 2 strikeouts. Berg used a two-pitch mix in his outing, using a fastball consistently at 80 T82, and a slider ranging from 70-72. 

Kicking off the offense for Team California was '27 Alexander Elizondo who ripped an RBI- double down the left field line which logged an impressive 98 mph exit velocity off the bat. 

'27 Gavin Smith also logged another RBI-double for Team California, roping this one into the RCF gap. Smith uses a very mature, yet aggressive, approach in the box.  '27 Wes Gomes had himself an RBI- double, lacing this ball into the RCF gap.  '27 Jacob Melendez capped off the scoring for Team California, getting his own base-hit through the right side. Team California will take on Team Illinois tomorrow, Thursday the 27th.
