Top Newcomers

James Umbarger RHP / 1B / Lansing, KS / 2024

The 6-foot-6 210-pound work horse frame has always been as strike thrower and out getter, but the right-hander has shown at the Engaged athletics scout day and this spring that he has the velo to make an impact at the next level as well. Also, strong academics will make him even more interesting for colleges.

Jose Zorrilla OF / Life Prep, KS / 2024

Zorrilla really stood out at the Wichita Preseason ID and has backed up his loud measurables with big production this spring with Life Prep. The right-handed hitter has a polished swing that sure bet to play at the next level as well.

Porter Starnes RHP / 3B / Blue Valley, KS / 2024

Starnes is an exciting right-hander that showed upper 80s velo at the Prime/Precision scout day. With a 6-foot-3, 170-pound and polish to add to the delivery, Starnes is arguably the most projectable uncommitted arm in the state.

Bryant Siemens OF / LHP / Marysville , KS / 2024

Siemens is the top ranked uncommitted LHP in the state thanks to his preformace at the Barn Scout Day where he showed his fastball up to 83 with an easy delivery and loose arm action. Look for Siemens to have a velo jump soon.

Owen Goode C / 1B / Manhattan, KS / 2024

Though not an every day varsity starter this spring on a talented Manhattan roster, Goode shows the tools to make an impact at the next level, especially if he continues to add size and strength.

Top Risers

Gavin Blachowicz RHP / 3B / Olathe South, KS / 2024

One of the best arms in the state right now, Blachowicz seems to get better and better each time we see him. The Wichita State commit jumps to No. 3 in our rankings after showing consistent command of three pitches featuring a FB up to 92 and a high-end slider.

Quinton Coats OF / 3B / Olathe South, KS / 2024

Coats has taken his physicality to a new level which he showed off at the Engaged Athletics Scout Day. Along with his  speed and strength, Coats has improved his in game production this spring as he leads the No. 1 team and offense in the state out of the 3-hole.

Colin Conrad RHP / 3B / Saint Thomas Aquinas, KS / 2024

Conrad displayed some elite three pitch mix in the zone in his pen at the MOKAN Preseason All-State. Though Conrad missed some time on the mound early this spring, he is back to toeing the rubber and his stuff remains electric. Conrad will be a high follow prospect as he continues to to log innings this spring and summer.

Jake Wolcott SS / RHP / Manhattan, KS / 2024

An athletic two-way prospect who just might shine brighter on the mound, Wolcott was impressive at the Barn Scout Day. The right-hander ran his fastball up to 87 and showed an athletic delivery that could see another velo jump with some polish.

Jaden Rose OF / 1B / Blue Valley West, KS / 2024

Rose has seen a huge growth spurt over the last year and is now an impressive 6-foot-4, 195-pounds with strength throughout. The right-handed hitter showed off a 92 mph BP exit velo at the Prim/Precision Scout Day. Rose is also making big contributions in the middle of the order for Blue Valley West this spring.
