Power 25 Scores and Highlights

#1 Trinity 8, Floyd Central (IN) 3
Korbyn Dickerson and Paul Osting each homered and had 2 RBI, Matt Klein had 3 hits, Chase Armstrong went 2-for-4 with 2 RBI, and Dane Morrow went 2-for-4. Osting worked 5.2 innings allowing 3 ER to record the win.

#4 St. Xavier 6, Brother Rice (IL) 5
Down to their last strike, Cooper Smith drew a two-out walk, and Jake Bennett followed with a walk-off two-run HR as the Tigers handed the #1 team in Illinois their first loss of the season.

Boyle County 7, #5 Danville 6

#6 Bowling Green 15, #24 Daviess Co 8
Patrick Forbes went 4-for-4 with 2 doubles, a HR, and 4 RBI, Nathaniel Roof went 2-for-5 with 4 RBI, Drew Isenberg went 2-for-4 with a double and 4 RBI, and Blake Ginter went 2-for-4. Roof also picked up the win working 4 innings and allowing 1 run. Isenberg struck out 6 over the final 2.2 innings in relief.

#8 Conner 6, Ryle 1
Kaden Early homered and drove in 3 runs, Cody Crawford went 2-for-2, Jackson Bucks went 2-for-4 with a double and RBI, and Gage Testerman drove in 2 runs. Rex Richter worked 6 innings with 7 K’s to get the win.

#9 Beechwood 14, Newport Central Catholic 2
Cameron Boyd went 3-for-4 with a double, 2 HR and 4 RBI, Brett Holladay went 3-for-4 with 2 HR and 3 RBI, Sam Cottengim went 2-for-3 with a HR and 4 RBI, and Landon Johnson homered and drove in 2 runs. Cottengim went the distance on the mound with 11 K’s.

#12 Woodford Co 7, Anderson Co 4
Bryce Patterson went 4-for-4 with a double and RBI, Taylor Penn went 2-for-3 with a double and 3 RBI, Collin Kemp went 2-for-4 with a RBI, and Brandon Rankin went 2-for-3 with a triple. Cole Dycus allowed just 2 hits and no ER with 6 K’s in 5.1 IP for the win.

#15 Sayre 4, #10 Frederick Douglass 1
Addie Stockham went 2-for-3 with 2 doubles and 2 RBI and also pitched a complete game allowing just 4 hits and 1 unearned run with 9 K’s. Charlie Slabaugh also collected 2 hits in the Sayre win.

Tates Creek 8, #14 Lafayette 5
With the game tied at 5-5, Jacob McDonald hit a walk-off 3-run HR to propel Tates Creek to the victory. Isaac Tencza went 2-for-2 with a HR and RBI, Braxton Brinegar went 2-for-4 with a double and 2 RBI, and Austin Potts doubled and drove in 2 runs. Carson Van Haaren allowed just 1 hit in 3.1 scoreless innings with 5 K’s to pick up the win. Owen Jenkins and Mason Pittman both homered in the Generals loss.

#17 North Oldham 6, South Oldham 5
Chase Edmonds went 2-for-4 with a double and 2 RBI, Tyler Pyles went 3-for-4 with a double, Chance Edmonds went 2-for-4 with a RBI, and Joe Winger hit a solo HR in the 10-inning win. Chance Edmonds also picked up the win on the mound allowing 1 run over the final 4 innings.

#18 Eastern 6, Fairdale 4
Ben Brown homered and drove in 3 runs, Landon Waugh went 3-for-4 with a RBI, Jake Lind went 2-for-4 with a double, and Mark Harmon had 2 hits in the Eagles win. Tanner Cansler and Andrew Key combined to throw 6.1 scoreless innings of relief with 9 K’s. Hunter Hicks and Bradley Myers both homered in the Fairdale loss.

#19 Apollo 11, Trinity (Whitesville) 1
Harrison Bowman went 4-for-4 with a RBI, and Dayton Brown went 3-for-4 with a triple and RBI. Braxton Franey pitched 2 scoreless innings with 4 K’s for the win.

#20 Fern Creek 5, Holy Cross 3
Ezra Yi doubled and drove in a run, and Bradley Jones allowed just 2 hits and 1 run with 10 K’s in 5 IP for the win.

#22 Harrison Co 16, Model 1
JD Kendall went 2-for-2 with 2 doubles and 3 RBI, Brian Vaughn doubled and had 2 RBI, and Titan Mastin and Josh Garrsion each had 2 RBI.

LCA 2, #23 Lexington Catholic 1
Matthew Maggard homered and drove in both LCA runs, and Hayden Collins went the distance on the mound to pick up the win.

Non-Power 25 Highlights

Covington Catholic 7, Dixie Heights 0
Charlie Dieruf went 3-for-4 with a RBI, Max Lawrie had 2 hits, and Luke Lenhof doubled and drove in a run. Will Burke fired a complete game shutout with 5 K’s.

Henry Clay 3, Scott Co 0
Kasen Parks went 2-for-3 with a double, Isaac Rone went 2-for-4 with a RBI, and Chardy Tierney and Giancarlo Gonzalez combined on  two-hit shutout with 10 K’s.

Elizabethtown 13, North Hardin 3
E-Town scored 10 runs in the 5th to break open a close game. Greyson Hainer went 2-for-4 with a double, HR and 4 RBI, Austin Jennings went 2-for-4 with a HR and 3 RBI, Bryce Estes went 2-for-3 with a double, and Ryder Gregory doubled and drove in 2 runs. Jennings picked up the win allowing 2 runs on 2 hits with 7 K’s in 4 IP.

Prestonsburg 10, Shelby Valley 1
Payton Burke went 3-for-4 with 2 doubles and a RBI, Matt Welch went 2-for-2 with a RBI, Wesley Salisbury went 2-for-3 with 2 RBI, and Nick Kidd doubled and drove in a run. Burke also went the distance on the mound with 10 K’s to pick up the win.

Collins 7, Shelby Co 6
Donavin Carroll went 5-for-5 with a RBI, Bradley Williams went 3-for-5 with 2 RBI, Bryce Dewitt went 2-for-4 with 2 RBI, and Bradley Ruble went 2-for-5 with double as Collins won in 8 innings. Jack Wills doubled and tripled, and Foster Whisman doubled and drove in 3 runs in the Shelby loss.

Rowan Co 6, Fleming Co 2
Chase Alderman went 2-for-4 with a HR and RBI, Hayden Mains went 2-for-4 with a double and RBI, and Caleb Cooper went 2-for-4 with a double. Alderman also got the win on the mound, working 6 innings and allowing 2 hits and 2 runs with 13 K’s.

Hopkinsville 4, Northeast (TN) 1
Joseph Boor drove in 2 runs, and Lucas Kaetzel allowed 1 run over 4 IP to get the win.

Bishop Brossart 3, Highlands 2
Ryan Ebert doubled and had 2 RBI, and Charles Hartig allowed 1 ER over 6.1 IP to pick up the win
