For the second night in a row, the Tigers knocked off the #1 ranked team from Illinois as Ty Starke fired a complete game, 2-hit shutout with 9 K’s. Ben Breunig tripled and scored on a Landon Akers SAC fly in the 3^rd inning for the game’s only run.

Sam Matherly went 2-for-4 with a HR and 4 RBI, Brady Morse went 2-for-4 with a double and RBI, KJ Stanfield went 2-for-4 with a RBI, and Jarvis Bryant homered and drive in 2 runs. Jack Simpson allowed 1 ER over 5 IP to pick up the win.

Brice Estep went 2-for-3 with a HR and 4 RBI, and Cameron Boyd went 3-for-3 with a HR and RBI. Matt Kappes allowed 1 run over 4 IP with 4 K’s to get the win.
