Since losing to Male on March 18, Eastern has been red-hot, reeling off 8 straight victories and going from unranked in the Power 25 to debuting at No. 15 this week.

It’s not like the schedule has been soft either.  Four of those wins came last week as they defeated Bullitt East, North Oldham, Oldham County, and Fairdale, and they have been getting it done in a variety of ways.  In fact, since that loss to Male, the Eagles pitching has been solid, allowing 3 runs or less 6 times during the 8-game winning streak, and in 3 of those wins they scored in double digits.

For their 4-0 performance last week, which landed them firmly in the Power 25, the Eastern Eagles have been named the Prep Baseball Report Kentucky Team of the Week.
