GAMES OF THE WEEK

No. 22 Jefferson Forest at No. 5 Liberty Christian, Tuesday, April 5
This Lynchburg rivalry has put the winner into the driver's seat in the Seminole District since Liberty Christian joined VHSL in 2016. Plenty of talent will be on the field as LCA loaded as usual and Jefferson Forest continues to pump out quality arms.

Fairfax County Spring Break Tournament, April 4-April 8
While some Fairfax schools are in Charleston and Myrtle Beach this week, a significant number of them have stayed home and are playing in a tournament at various locations. South County, Herndon, West Potomac, Edison, West Springfield, Hayfield, Lake Braddock, Annandale, McLean, Woodson, Marshall, and Robinson will take part in the tournament.

National High School Invitational, Cary, North Carolina
Every year, 16 top teams from around the country are selected to take part in NHSI, which is held at the USA Baseball complex in Cary. This year, Virginia will send a team in No. 2 Hanover. Hanover opens their play against Los Angeles, California powerhouse Orange Lutheran. 

No. 23 Independence at No. 11 Riverside, Thursday, April 7
Two of the top teams in Loudoun meet on Thursday in what is also a showdown of Potomac District rivals. Independence enters the week unbeaten and Riverside's lone loss was to No. 3 Freedom in its opener. Both teams feature loaded pitching staffs and there will be plenty of talent on the field.
