Welcome to Looking Ahead, our look at key matchups that will occur in the coming week from around the Commonwealth. Without further ado, here are games that we find to be especially interesting in the coming week:

LOOKING AHEAD: APRIL 9-14

No. 9 Miller School vs No. 2 Benedictine, Wednesday April 11
This matchup pits the defending VISAA I and VISAA II State Champions against each other with plenty of elite talent on both sides of the field.

No. 12 Great Bridge vs No. 19 Hickory, Friday April 13
This Southeastern District matchup pits two of the top public schools in the area this year. Hickory is coming off of a rough week that saw them lose to good Hanover and Godwin teams, while Great Bridge also suffered its first loss last week at the hands of Cox, before bouncing back to beat Godwin.
