Every coach talks about how talent can only take you so far; you need hard work, discipline, and dedication to reach your potential. For unsigned senior Aaron Leasher, his gains have been credited to those attributes. When talking to Aaron recently, he commented saying,

“Head Coach Luke Epple and Assistant Coach Mike Theunissen won’t give you anything you don’t deserve”.

Also Aaron noted that getting opportunities to contribute to Mt. Pleasant was another factor in his development.

Leasher is an unsigned senior left-handed pitcher with a high ceiling, standing at 6-foot-3, 180-pounds. He has a 81-84mph fastball, a solid curveball at 69-73, and his changeup has good arm side run at 72-75mph.

Being comfortable at a school is crucial for any student, but as a student-athlete it can be even more so. Aaron had this to say on his what factors into his decision for schooling, “I want coaches that will be honest with me and help me develop on and off the field.”

Aaron has been receiving interest from several MAC schools such as Central Michigan, Ball State, Miami (OH), and Buffalo. He has also had contact with several other programs such as Duke, Kansas State, Valparaiso, Texas A&M Corpus Christi, St. Johns, and Cincinnati.

In college, Aaron, a 3.5 GPA student, is looking to study business but is not sure what he wants to study specifically.

Aaron’s biggest influence is his former teammate Evan Hill, who is now a student-athlete at the University of Michigan. Evan, a Freshman All-American and member of the Big-Ten All Freshman Team, has been helping Aaron with the entire recruiting process. He was also the best player Aaron has ever played with in his high school career.
