MN Preseason All-State: Event Preview

Rob Allison
Prep Baseball Report Minnesota

The MN Preseason All-State is one of Minnesota’s most highly anticipated events for the top 2019 prospects in the region. This Sunday, March 18- the sold out invite-only event will bring over 120 of the top junior prospects in the region to the Vadnais Sports Center in Vadnais Heights, MN.

70+ players from last year’s MN Preseason All-State have gone on to make college commitments and this year’s event is likely to produce much of the same.

The 2018 event will feature a majority of the uncommitted 2019 prospects that are currently ranked in their class in the state.

The top uncommitted player in attendance is C/OF Joey Danielson (Eden Prairie). Currently the No. 7 ranked player in the class, Danielson is a physical athlete with big power potential at the plate.

Another highly intriguing uncommitted prospect to look out for on Sunday will be RHP/UTL Bennett Theisen (Minnehaha Academy). Currently ranked No. 8 in the class, Theisen can run his fastball into the upper-80's and pounds the strike zone with his three-pitch repertoire; along with showing arm strength at multiple positions and power potential at the plate.

When looking at some potential breakout candidates, who are currently uncommitted, here are some names to start with; RHP AJ Lattery (Prior Lake), Cam Hunter (East Ridge), OF Brian Williams (Cretin-Derham Hall), OF Thomas Bean (DeLaSalle), C Bryce Lovcik (Maranatha Christian), SS Noah Dehne (Minnehaha Academy), just to name a few. Look for these prospects and more.......many more..... to perform well at this Sunday's marquee event.
