The Prep Baseball Report MN Top Prospect Games event took place on Monday and Tuesday, June 19-20, 2017. The event was held at Veteran's Field at Minnetonka High School in Minnetonka, MN. The event featured prospects from the 2018 grad class; and included many breakout performances from this year's participants. Players showcased their talents in front of our scouting staff and over 60 college coaches in attendance. 

There were a number of great individual performances this year at the MN Top Prospect Games.

Nathan Berg, SS/RHP, New Prague, 2018
6-foot-1, 175-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. 7.45 runner. Tall athletic stance, stays on and through contact, consistent hard contact, uses both gaps, 84 mph exit velocity. Shows actions in field, sure hands, solid athleticism, above avg. carry and accuracy on throws, 85 mph arm across infield. On mound; Short turn into balance point, has above avg. body control, with compact arm action and extension to plate. Pounds zone with 82-85 mph fastball, straight, with command to both sides of plate. Has feel for solid breaking ball, late breaking slider, and changeup is thrown at fastball arm speed.

Cameron Blazek, RHP/OF, Fargo North (ND), 2018
6-foot-2, 195-pound left-handed hitting 2-way player. On mound; good tempo and rhythm to delivery. Upper and lower half are synced together. Compact arm action with hand quickness out front. Works slightly downhill at 83-86 mph and competes in the zone. Breaking ball has solid 11/5 shape, thrown with arm speed, and is 70-74 mph. Changeup showed solid fade at 74-75 mph. Physical presence in box. 7.39 runner. Square stance, clean swing plane, has mid/pull approach, short to contact with solid pop in bat, 86 mph exit velocity. Solid/avg. athlete in field, appropriate routes and angles, avg. carry and accuracy to target, proto corner outfielder, 81 mph arm from outfield.

Cameron Bunkers, RHP, Prior Lake, 2018
6-foot-2, 155-pound right-handed hitting pitcher. Thin lanky build. Controlled mechanics, heavy wrap on backside of arm action, clean out front, lands open and falls off the first base side. Fastball was 77-79 mph with occasional life and showed ability to work both sides of plate. Big early shape on 11/5 curveball. Has fade and sink on changeup for strikes.

Brett Carlson, RHP, Star Prairie (WI), 2018
6-foot-3, 195-pound right-handed hitting pitcher. Projectable build with present strength and has raw athleticism. Short compact arm action, slightly out of sync with upper and lower half, but ball jumps out of hand with solid extension to plate. Fastball was 80-83 mph, delivered on downhill plane, with heavy action at bottom of zone. Curveball needs development, 65-68 mph, with varying release point and shape. Changeup was 71-74 mph and is currently best secondary offering.

Collin Chalmers, RHP/1B, Rosemount, 2018
6-foot-3, 190-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. Shows rhythm and tempo to delivery, short arm action, swings down mound with front leg landing closed, with avg. extension and finish to plate. Fastball was 79-82 mph with varying action to plate. Breaking ball was 73-75 mph, slider, with tight spin and shape. 7.31 runner. Body load with leg kick trigger, limited use of lower half, flashes pop in bat, out and around at contact, 91 mph exit velocity. Solid actions at first base, sure hands, sound receiver around bag, accurate on throws with 78 mph arm strength.

Daniel Claussen, SS/RHP, Totino Grace, 2018
6-foot, 175-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. 7.65 runner. Shows rhythm in hands, leg kick trigger, struggled with timing, spray contact producing ground balls and fly balls, 81 mph exit velocity. Solid actions in field, long release on throws with cut action, hands are sure, 81 mph arm across infield. On mound; high front side, creates deception, has good arm speed, and shows ability to throw strikes. Sneaky 80-82 mph fastball with late run and sink. Big shape on 10/4 breaking ball. Changeup is thrown with fastball arm speed with quality run and sink.

Delaney Dahl, LHP/OF, Wayzata, 2018
5-foot-9, 175-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. Uptempo delivery to balance point, compact arm action, with arm swing across body. Fastball was 81-83 mph with varying action to plate. Breaking ball has early shape with loose spin at 65-67 mph. 7.22 runner. Balanced swing, slight shoulder load, some length to contact, lift in swing plane, consistent hard contact, pull approach, 84 mph exit velocity. Solid actions in outfield, works through ball, has accuracy to target, 84 mph arm from outfield.

Jonathan Draheim, C/RHP, Jordan, 2018
6-foot-4, 170-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. 7.94 runner. Slight crouch, strides square, avg. use of lower half in swing, pull hitter, flashes pop in bat to pull side, 81 mph exit velocity. Moves well for size behind plate with quick feet, avg. receiver, holds glove close to body, quick to block. Some length to exchanges, hitch in arm action, solid carry to bag with above avg. accuracy, 76 mph arm with 2.03-2.10 pop times. On mound; clean arm action producing 79-83 mph fastballs. Breaking ball was 66-68 mph for consistent strikes. Tall lean frame, should continue to add size and strength, and has some projection.

Will Eckland, RHP, Edina, 2018
6-foot-1, 155-pound right-handed hitting pitcher. Lean lanky frame. Controlled delivery with good tempo. Long clean arm action with extension out front. Fastball shows late life and jumps on hitter at 84-87 mph for strikes. Breaking ball showed improvement, thrown with conviction, and had solid 11/5 shape and depth for strikes. Changeup was thrown with solid fading action.

RJ Galvez, SS/RHP, Rush City, 2018
6-foot-2, 190-pound switch hitting 2-way player. 7.64 runner. Active hands in load with some rhythm, slight length to contact, fly ball approach, flashed hard line drive contact to pull side, 84 mph exit velocity. Projectable frame on infield, avg. actions, tends to field flat footed, shows accuracy to bag with long release on throws, 79 mph arm strength across infield. On mound; uptempo delivery, body projects on mound, avg. use of lower half, clean arm action. Fastball was 79-82 mph with occasional slight run. Loose spin on 12/5 curveball. Tends to guide changeup causing flat action.

Jerry Gooley, LHP/OF, Maple Grove, 2018
5-foot-10, 175-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. Tempo to delivery, clean compact arm action, with extension and finish. Heavy arm-side run on fastball at 80-82 mph for strikes. Tight spin and late break on 12/7 breaking ball. Changeup has above avg. action with late run and sink. Avg. frame and velocity; Gooley brings intangibles to table- should be strong follow by college coaches through fall. 7.72 runner. Crouched stance with short stride, consistent solid contact, avg. pop in bat, mid/pull approach, 78 mph exit velocity. Solid routes and angles, throws have carry and are online, solid actions in outfield, 84 mph arm from outfield.

Parker Hafermann, OF/LHP, Prior Lake, 2018
5-foot-8, 170-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. 7.15 runner. Active hands in load, produces solid bat speed, consistent hard contact, mid/pull approach, 92 mph exit velocity. Covers ground and aggressive fielder, quick release, has accuracy to target, solid overall actions in field, 83 mph arm from outfield. On mound; short balance point, lands slightly across body, with clean arm action, upright on release with occasional finish. Fastball was 76-78 mph with flashes of running action. Shows good hand speed on breaking ball producing solid shape and late break. Changeup has solid fade and sink to arm-side.

AJ Hinz, RHP/3B, Annandale, 2018
6-foot-5, 200-pound left-handed hitting 2-way player. Large durable frame. Threw 5+ innings 2 days before event. Slight collapse at balance point, short arm action from ¾ slot. Heavy fastball with sink at 81-84 mph for strikes. Loose spin on 11/5 breaking ball at 66-68 mph. Good depth with fading action on 75-78 mph changeup. 8.03 runner. Open stance, short path through zone, consistent line drive contact to right-center gap, 83 mph exit velocity. Solid actions, short arm action with quick release from ¾ slot, sure hands, 72 mph arm strength across infield.

Keenan Hodgkin, SS/RHP, Providence Academy, 2018
6-foot-3, 175-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. 7.28 runner. Slight collapse creating lift and launch in swing plane, fly ball hitter, occasional pop in bat, mid/pull approach, 82 mph exit velocity. Good angles to field, solid range, shows ability to throw from multiple slots, solid college infielder, 83 mph arm across infield. On mound; produced 78-79 mph fastballs with athletic delivery to plate. Strike thrower. Curveball has large 10/4 shape at 62-65 mph.

Richie Holetz, RHP, Edina, 2018
6-foot-3, 190-pound right-handed hitting pitcher. Taller square frame. Projects to continue to add size and strength. Uptempo delivery, slight collapse down mound with drop and drive mechanics. Compact arm action with solid arm quickness. Fastball was 83-85 mph with late running action to plate. Slider was 75-78 mph with short late break for strikes. 72-74 mph changeup is thrown near fastball arm speed, turns it over, creating solid fade and sink.

Barron Holtz, OF/RHP, PEM, 2018
6-foot-1, 168-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. 6.88 runner. Shoulder load with low hand slot, spin tendencies with lower half, solid bat speed, pull approach with line drive and fly ball contact, 86 mph exit velocity. Above avg. athlete in field, works around and through baseball, has good actions, moves with ease. Throws are on-line with 93 mph arm from outfield with above avg. carry and accuracy. On mound; athletic actions, shows tempo and rhythm, long clean arm action, good hand speed out front with extension to plate. Fastball was consistently 87-88 mph for strikes. Breaking ball has 11/5 shape with solid depth. Changeup is still developing but shows feel around zone with pitch.

Jack Horman, 3B/RHP, Woodbury, 2018
5-foot-9, 155-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. 7.34 runner. Active load with rhythm, consistent hard ground ball and line drive contact to mid/pull side of field, 75 mph exit velocity. Works down to up, solid actions, good first step, sure hands, accurate to bag with carry on throws, 82 mph arm across infield. On mound; repeats well, has body control, compact arm action with hand quickness. Fastball was 82-83 mph with varying late action to plate. Curveball had loose spin and 10/4 break. 

Dylan Irving, LHP/1B, Irondale, 2018
6-foot-1, 170-pound left-handed hitting 2-way player. On mound; short balance point, rushes to plate, long draw with stab in arm action, collapses in stride elevating baseball. Fastball was 76-79 mph with flashes of running action. 12/7 shape on curveball with small break. Changeup is thrown with stiff wrist causing straight flat action to plate. 7.3 runner. Square stance with choppy rhythm, slight lift through swing plane, pull approach, ground ball contact, 79 mph exit velocity. Short arm action with quick release, sure hands, solid actions around bag, 66 mph arm across field.

Jack Jahnke, RHP, Waconia, 2018
6-foot-2, 170-pound right-handed pitcher. Lean frame with quick arm out front. Overhead delivery, lands slightly across body, and competes well in zone. Short arm action producing 81-84 mph fastballs, sneaky quick, with cut action. 11/5 breaking ball has tight rotation and late break for strikes. Above avg. arm-side run on changeup.

Dillan Janak, LHP, Harrisburg (SD), 2018
6-foot-1, 170-pound left-handed hitting pitcher. Taller lean build on mound. Higher balance point, hides ball from hitter, with short arm action from low ¾ slot. Fastball has life with late varying action for strikes at 79-82 mph. 65-69 mph breaking ball was inconsistent. Changeup was thrown with solid hand speed at 74-76 mph.

Brody Kaldahl, RHP, Esko, 2018
6-foot, 185-pound right-handed hitting pitcher. Short balance point with slight tuck and turn, pie arm action, with inline stride down mound. Fastball was 77-80 mph for strikes and varying action to plate. Breaking ball was 68-70 mph and changeup was 69-71 mph with avg. fading action.

Nicholas Kaye, 3B/RHP, Wayzata, 2018
6-foot-3, 195-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. 7.46 runner. Different hand load, works for Kaye as he consistently made hard line drive contact to middle of field, handling pitches across the zone, with quality gap to gap approach, 84 mph exit velocity. Sure hands with avg. actions, follows throws across, some effort on release, accurate to bag with carry, 83 mph arm across infield. On mound; rocker step into balance point, short arm action, lands on straight leg, upright finish. Fastball was elevated at 79-82 mph with slight run. Slurvy 10/4 breaking ball was thrown for strikes. Tends to slow hand on changeup causing flat action to plate.

Benjamin Kinney, C/RHP, Kasson-Mantorville, 2018
6-foot-2, 180-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. 7.94 runner. Body load with leg kick trigger, loose swing, consistently barrels baseball, singles hitter with avg. pop in bat, 83 mph exit velocity. Narrow stance, avg. mobility, works underneath pitches well, long release on throws, avg. accuracy and carry to bag, 72 mph arm with 2.14-2.3 pop times. On mound; even tempo, compact arm action, lands on straight front leg, up and over delivery. Fastball was 73-75 mph and curveball was 55-56 mph.

Trey Kocher, OF/RHP, Apple Valley, 2018
6-foot, 165-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. 6.77 runner. Square stance, straight legs in swing, roll-over contact, pull approach, 79 mph exit velocity. Quick twitch athlete in field, avg. routes and angles, solid arm, ¾ slot, tends to miss arm-side on throws, 85 mph arm from outfield. On mound; overhead delivery, pie arm action, and turns ball over on release. Strike thrower with 81-83 mph fastball with flashes of late action. Breaking ball with 10/4 shape had inconsistent break.

Cole Kraemer, RHP/OF, Rosemount, 2018
6-foot-2, 180-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. Has added quality weight and has begun to fill out frame. Deeper step into powerful balance point, inline stride down mound, short arm action with good hand speed. Fastball was 84-85 mph with varying action to plate. Threw strikes with solid 72-73 breaking ball with 11/5 shape. 7.06 runner. Body load with leg kick trigger, some extra moving parts through swing, flashes pop in bat, mid/pull approach, projects physically, 85 mph exit velocity. Aggressive fielder, works through ball, quick release, solid accuracy, 86 mph arm from outfield.

Jack Kroehler, RHP/OF, Totino Grace, 2018
6-foot-4, 195-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. On mound; rocker step into balance point, pause/hitch over rubber, avg. extension to plate, short arm action. Fastball was 76-78 mph, straight, on slight downhill plane. Solid tightness and shape on 11/5 breaking ball. Changeup is straight with avg. fading action. 7.31 runner. Slight crouch with square stance, double tap trigger, solid contact on balls down in zone, pull approach, 83 mph exit velocity. Physical build with solid actions in field, works through ball, throws have carry and accuracy to target, 81 mph arm from outfield.

Braeden Levandowski, RHP, St. Michael-Albertville, 2018
6-foot-2, 195-pound right-handed hitting pitcher. Strong compact build. Leaks out of balance point early with slightly uncontrolled front leg, competed well around zone, and shows flashes of arm strength. Fastball was 84-86 mph, touching 87 mph, mostly straight but comes out of hand clean and jumps on hitter. 12/6 breaking ball has flashes of solid depth. Changeup showed fade in bottom of zone. Overall solid K% in this outing; and Levandowski would look to continue to build on the performance.

Nick Lommen, LHP, Minnetonka, 2018
6-foot-4, 185-pound right-handed hitting pitcher. Lommen is currently one of the highest ranked uncommitted LHP in MN. Works downhill with fastball and has steep plane to pitch. Was 82-84 mph at this event; has been up as high as 88 mph. Continues to flash an above avg. back-foot breaking ball to RHH. Lean projectable build and throws strikes with 2 pitches.

Jonah Milbrandt, RHP/1B, Simley, 2018
6-foot-3, 210-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. Large durable frame. Strength only, medium balance point, ¾ arm action, slight pause on back-side, clean out front, lands inline with catcher. Fastball was 78-80 mph with occasional run and sink. Small break on 11/4 curveball at 66-68 mph. Cutting action on changeup; thrown at 70-71 mph. 7.57 runner. Slightly open stance, lower hand slot, some length to contact, lift through swing plane, gap to gap approach, flyball hitter, avg. pop in bat, 85 mph exit velocity. Heavier feet, avg. actions, long release on throws, inconsistent accuracy to bag, 75 mph arm across infield.

Seth Miller, RHP/3B, Blaine, 2018
5-foot-10, 180-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. On mound; controlled mechanics, slight drop and drive, with direction to plate. Short compact arm action from ¾ slot producing 83-85 mph fastball with late running action. Lands breaking ball for strikes at 68-69 mph. Shows ability to pitch backwards and fastball plays up. 7.62 runner. Open stance, strides to wide base, flat swing plane with lift through contact, solid pop in bat, uses both gaps, 82 mph exit velocity. Solid actions in field, soft hands, works through baseball, accurate to bag, 82 mph arm across infield.

Evan Mischke, 2B/RHP, Grand Rapids, 2018
6-foot-3, 195-pound left-handed hitting 2-way player. 7.69 runner. Easy load and stride, flashes pop in bat, present strength, swing lacks rhythm and looseness, mid/pull approach, 75 mph exit velocity. Stiff actions in field, avg. hands and feet, accurate throws to bag, 73 mph arm across infield. On mound; fastball was 73-75 mph and changeup was firm at 68-71 mph.

Austin Nikolas, RHP/SS, St. Cloud Tech, 2018
5-foot-11, 170-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. On mound; smaller compact frame with quick twitch actions. Good balance, rhythm, and tempo to delivery. Live arm producing 85-86 mph fastball with late running action. Slider is 75-77 mph, with 10-4 shape, and above avg. depth. Commands changeup at 75-76 mph with solid fade for strikes. 6.93 runner. Tall stance, drops into lower slot, line drive swing plane, hard line drive contact when stays through zone, 93 mph exit velocity. Athletic in field, tends to field deep in stance, winds up to throw, accurate to bag, 84 mph arm across infield.

Dustin Pampel, OF/RHP, Lakeside Lutheran (WI), 2018
6-foot-2, 205-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. 7.15 runner. Crouched stance, shoulder load, underneath at contact, inconsistent spray contact across field, 80 mph exit velocity. Avg. actions in field, tends to field with 2 hands, solid accuracy to target with avg. carry on throws, 79 mph arm from outfield. On mound; simple turn into square balance point, long draw on backside, slight unraveling action to arm. Fastball was 79-82 mph with flat action to plate. Loose spin on 11/4 breaking ball. Throws changeup with good hand speed creating deception and pitch has depth.

Joe Parenteau, LHP/OF, DeLaSalle, 2018
5-foot-9, 165-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. On mound; slow methodical delivery, speeds up tempo through hand break. Stab on backside of arm action with moderate effort. Fastball was 74-76 mph with heavy tailing action to plate. Breaking ball lacks velocity with 2/7 shape and slow rolling break to plate. 7.16 runner. Open stance, leg kick trigger, lower half collapses at contact, avg. pop in bat with mid/pull approach, 81 mph exit velocity. Active in outfield, solid routes and angles, aggressive fielder, avg. carry with accuracy to target, 82 mph arm from outfield.

Taylor Parrett, RHP/OF, Fargo Davies, 2018
6-foot, 190-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. Solid athlete on mound, short arm action, lands inline to catcher, avg. extension and finish to plate. Fastball was 81-83 mph, thrown for strikes, with varying action. Breaking ball is 62-63 mph with early break and loose spin. Changeup is thrown at 69-72 mph with avg. action to plate. 6.65 runner. Front heel turn trigger, short to contact, works mid/away with sharp line drive contact to opposite field, 84 mph exit velocity. Solid athlete with decent actions in field, works through ball, shows appropriate footwork, accurate arm with solid carry to target, 84 mph arm from outfield.

Nathaniel Peterson, LHP, Lakeville North, 2018
5-foot-10, 175-pound left-handed hitting pitcher. #9 ranked player in MN 2018 class. Peterson has loose arm and pounds zone with 85-87 mph fastball that shows heavy arm-side run and jumps on hitter. Breaking has tight spin with 2/7 shape and is above avg. to both LH and RH hitters. Late sink and fade on changeup. Has been as high as 89 mph; Peterson should be a highly sought commodity to D1 schools across the country.

Leo Pfarr, LHP, DeLaSalle, 2018
5-foot-10, 155-pound left-handed hitting pitcher. Smaller lean frame on mound. Rolls into balance point, lower ¾ arm slot, upright on release to plate. Live arm producing 80-83 mph fastball, varying cut and run action, and commands arm-side of plate well. Breaking ball shows avg. spin and depth to plate. Changeup has solid fade and compliments arm-side fastball well.

Mark Reimel, RHP/3B, Cretin-Derham Hall, 2018
6-foot, 170-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. On mound; simple turn into high balance point, collapses and swings leg down mound, heavy stab on backside. Reimel was 78-81 mph with 67-69 mph curveball and 70-71 mph changeup. 7.28 runner. Body load, transfers weight through swing, linear mechanics, line drive swing plane, mid/pull approach, 90 mph exit velocity. Avg. actions in field, tends to sit back on balls, arm plays well across from long release, throws have carry and accuracy to bag, 80 mph arm across infield.

Brady Richter, RHP/OF, Holy Family, 2018
6-foot, 165-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. Projectable frame on mound, high front side in delivery creates deception and hides baseball, long stride down mound with extension to plate. Ball jumps on hitter at 80-82 mph with run and sink for strikes. Solid/avg. slider with 10/4 shape. Has deception on changeup, thrown at fastball arm speed, with solid fade and sink. 7.13 runner. High tilted hands, long stride, linear mechanics, line drive swing plane, avg. pop in bat, 80 mph exit velocity. Solid athlete in field, tends to field on side of ball, uses momentum on throws, elevated to target with solid carry and accuracy, 80 mph arm from outfield.

Nate Rivers, RHP, Minneapolis Southwest, 2018
6-foot-1, 170-pound right-handed hitting pitcher. Athletic low mileage arm on mound. Shows arm strength; in last event was 92 mph from outfield. Clean compact arm action with hand speed. Shows ability to throw strikes with 83-86 mph fastball topping out at 88 mph. Slider was above avg. with late 10/4 break. Arm-side run with flat action on changeup. Strong follow into the fall- Rivers shows quality arm, athleticism, and is just beginning to scrape the surface of his potential.

David Roderick, RHP, Minnetonka, 2018
6-foot-4, 175-pound right-handed hitting pitcher. Tall lean build with wider shoulders; should continue to add size and strength. Short turn into balance point, low ¾ slot, hides ball from hitter, minimal effort in delivery. Fastball has above avg. late running action at 86-88 mph. Slider has late break with tight 10/4 shape at 76-78 mph. Changeup is thrown at fastball arm speed at 75-78 mph. Currently #55 ranked player in state; Roderick will make jump in 2018 rankings.

Cole Schnichels, LHP, Rosemount, 2018
6-foot, 160-pound right-handed hitting pitcher. Thin frame. Good tempo and rhythm in delivery, long arm action from OT slot, has direction to plate with avg. extension. Fastball is sneaky and jumps on hitter at 77-80 mph for strikes. Slider shape to 2/8 breaking ball with solid depth. Good arm speed on changeup with solid fade and sink in the bottom of zone.

Austin Selz, RHP, Eau Claire Memorial (WI), 2018
5-foot-10, 165-pound right-handed hitting pitcher. Up to down delivery, some effort, long arm action from OT slot. Ball jumps out of hand at 83-85 mph producing heavy running action to plate. Threw one of better breaking balls at event, late break, with tight spin and 12/6 shape. Changeup has above avg. run; thrown with fastball arm action and hand speed.

Ben Shepard, RHP/2B, Eden Prairie, 2018
6-foot, 160-pound right-handed hitting 2-way pitcher. Shows body control- rhythm- and tempo, clean short arm action, hides ball from hitter, and flashes 3 above avg. pitches. Fastball was 83-85 mph with heavy running action and late movement. Breaking ball is above avg. with tight spin, 10/4 shape, and late break for strikes. Split has late diving action down and away from LHH. Strong follow on mound this Fall. 7.43 runner. 6-foot-3, 200-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. Strong physical build. As high as 89 mph in past; this is Shoen’s first full spring/summer with travel and legion baseball. Above avg. athlete with strength; Shoen’s shows considerable promise in college. Fastball was 80-83 mph slight cutting action. 11/3 breaking ball has short break at plate. 7.15 runner. Front heel turn trigger, short to contact, shows ability to drive baseball to outfield, power potential in swing and frame, 93 mph exit velocity. Long release on throws, solid/avg. range, sure hands, accurate to bag with carry, has athleticism to play 3B, 83 mph arm across infield.

Nick Spitt, RHP/OF, Lakeville North, 2018
6-foot, 200-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. Athletic player with above avg. tools. Throws consistent above avg. slider for strikes. Ability to pitch backwards. 84-87 mph fastball with heavy action plays up with breaking ball. Throws curveball and slider; currently slider is better pitch with late 2-plane break; shows in zone with ability to take away as out-pitch. 7.19 runner. Easy load and stride, solid bat speed, tends to fall over plate at contact, works middle/away, consistent solid contact, 93 mph exit velocity. Confident in field with solid athletic actions, throws have carry and accuracy to target, 89 mph arm from outfield.

Avery Stevens, RHP, Sleepy Eye, 2018
6-foot-3, 180-pound right-handed hitting pitcher. Has made a strong jump with overall stuff and pitchability. Stevens worked downhill running his fastball in the 84-87 mph range for quality strikes. His 71-72 mph breaking ball has also improved; showing above avg. depth and he threw with more conviction. The changeup is usable at 68-69 mph but will need to continue to develop feel for pitch.

Dylan TeBrake, RHP/1B, Rocori, 2018
6-foot-3, 215-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. TeBrake became one of the hottest names of the summer after his performance at the MN TPG event. Previously un-ranked, and relatively unknown, TeBrake consistently pumped 87-90 mph fastballs for strikes with heavy running action. The changeup is thrown with good arm speed with tumbling action to plate. At times the breaking ball is inconsistent; but flashes chance to be solid/above avg. pitch down the road. 7.22 runner. Preset hands, short load, easy leg kick trigger, pull approach, collapses at contact, flashes above avg. pop in bat, 90 mph exit velocity. Active fielder with good feet, moves well around bag, sure hands, solid around bag, 80 mph arm across infield. TeBrake recently committed to Creighton University after being heavily followed this summer.

Alec Tennis, RHP/IF, Cretin-Derham Hall, 2018
5-foot-10, 165-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. On mound; sideways step into tuck and turn balance point, hides baseball, short arm action from ¾ slot. Fastball was 76-78 mph for strikes. Breaking ball, thrown for strikes, was 68-70 mph. 7.37 runner. Rolling hand load, linear hitter, flat swing plane, line drive and ground ball contact with avg. pop in bat, 86 mph exit velocity. Sure hands, first step quickness, avg. routes and angles to field, accurate arm to bag, 74 mph arm across infield.

Paxton Thompson, SS/RHP, St. Michael-Albertville, 2018
6-foot-1, 165-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. 7.32 runner. Preset hands, slight body load, line drive swing with extension through contact, mid/pull approach with consistent hard contact, 87 mph exit velocity. Sure hands in field, plays back at times relying on arm, projects physically with arm strength for left side of infield, accurate to bag with carry, 84 mph arm across infield. On mound; athletic actions on mound, long draw on backside, explodes down mound with good arm speed, slight head jerk and effort in delivery. Consistent strike thrower producing 84-86 mph fastball, touching 88 mph, with command to both sides of plate. Breaking ball was 68-69 mph for strikes and changeup is thrown with good arm speed, firm, at 78-79 mph.

Tommy Thompson, RHP, Chanhassen, 2018
6-foot, 185-pound right-handed hitting pitcher. Strong sturdy frame. Uptempo delivery, shows good extension to plate, arm has some quickness and is clean and compact. Fastball was 81-83 mph; 2-seam shows late running action into RH hitter. Has tight spin on 11/5 breaking ball. Changeup has ability to be out-pitch, thrown with good arm action, with late fade and sink.

Hayden Thomsen, SS/RHP, Maple Grove, 2018
6-foot-1, 185-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. 7.06 runner. Body and shoulder load, consistent hard contact with line drive approach to middle of field, flashes occasional pop with ability to drive ball to left field, 86 mph exit velocity. Solid actions with footwork, tends to field deep and underneath, throws have carry and accuracy to bag, 82 mph arm across infield. On mound; athletic delivery, good body control, arm works free and easy, moderate effort. Fastball was 82-84 mph with late heavy action. Tight spin on late breaking 10/4 slider. Fade and sink on changeup; thrown at fastball arm speed.

Bobby Tilot, RHP/3B, Port Bay (WI), 2018
6-foot-2, 170-pound left-handed hitting 2-way player. On mound; steps back and rolls into motion, 2-piece arm action, slight effort on release. Fastball was straight at 80-81 mph. Curveball had tendency to spin with minimal break. Flat arm-side run on changeup. 7.44 runner. Strides slightly across body, hands drift forward in swing, flashes occasional pop in bat, mid/pull approach, 86 mph exit velocity. Avg. actions in field, tends to sit on balls, solid carry and accuracy on throws, shows ability to make routine plays, 79 mph arm across infield.

Reese Vold, OF/RHP, Black River Falls (WI), 2018
5-foot-11, 155-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. 7.07 runner. Deeper load, leg kick trigger, slight uphill path through contact, flashes occasional pop in bat, uses whole field, and shows ability to go the other way, 86 mph exit velocity. Solid actions in field, works through baseball, fields on side occasionally, avg. carry and accuracy to target from ¾ pie arm action, 79 mph arm from outfield. On mound; controlled mechanics into higher balance point, slight tuck and turn, with direction and extension to plate. Fastball was 78-79 mph from slight pie arm action. Breaking ball was 70-71 mph.

Aaron Wukmir, RHP, Minnetonka, 2018
5-foot-10, 150-pound right-handed hitting pitcher. Wukmir jumped onto the scene at event consistently throwing 83-85 mph fastballs. On a deep Tonka squad- saw most of his innings on JV squad this spring. Throws 3 above avg. pitches with fastball for strikes, late breaking 10/4 slider, and quality changeup thrown at fastball arm speed. Wukmir will be followed closely by college coaches through rest of summer and into the Fall.
