Madison Rising Stars ID: Preview

By Andy Sroka
Illinois & Wisconsin Assistant Director

On Saturday, March 12, the PBR Wisconsin staff will travel to GRB Academy in Windsor, Wis., to host the annual Madison Rising Stars ID. This event is open to all Class of 2026 and 2027 prospects and has consistently provided our staff with the names of players to consider inviting to the PBR Junior Future Games where they’ll represent Team Wisconsin at LakePoint Sports in Emerson, Ga., at the end of the summer.

The event is now sold out; to see a full list of all players scheduled to attend, click here.

EVENT HISTORY

Last year’s roster wound up featuring a few Junior Future Games participants: RHP Sawyer Deering (Kimberly, 2025), UTL Yamato Takahashi (Arrowhead, 2025), and MIF Preston Yaucher (Edgewood, 2025). And even though we weren’t able to field a JFG team in 2020, this event featured several prospects who’ve since become well-known as underclassmen, like LHP/OF Logan Dunn (Wautoma, 2024), INF Javin Gauthier (De Pere, 2024; Illinois State commit), SS Eddie Rynders (Wisconsin Lutheran, 2024; Kent State), OF Issei Takahashi (Arrowhead, 2024), RHP/INF Cooper Kamlay (Franklin, 2024), INF Eason Hurd (Ashwaubenon, 2024), OF Bradyn Horn (Muskego, 2024), and RHP Anderson Hayes (Oconomowoc, 2024) among many others.

CHECK-IN PROCESS

Additionally, in an effort to continue and develop contactless check-in strategies, upon arrival, players will scan a QR Code with their smartphone camera that will lead them to a Google Form. On that Form, players will enter their name (matching the spelling on their PBR profile) and hit submit. Upon submission, players will be prompted to click a link that will direct them to their jersey color and number, located next to their registered name

ITINERARY

+ Check-in Times:

  • All Position Players: 3:00 P.M.

  • All Pitchers-only: 5:30 P.M.

  • Catchers will stay for both sessions.

MORE EVENT DETAILS

Click here to learn more about our tech partners that have enhanced our players showcase experience. Partners like TrackMan, Blast Motion, and Vizual Edge have helped both our in-event evaluation process, as well the compilation of our post-event scouting reports – and they're also a tool for our players to learn more about their measured and collected data, that can be applied to improve upon their game.

Finally, masks are strongly encouraged during non-baseball activity. We will facilitate a contact-less check-in. Wear baseball clothes; assigned and numbered PBR jerseys will be provided.
