We here at PBR Florida are ever striving to add quality baseball people to help cover baseball in the state of Florida like none other. With that being said, we are excited to announce the addition of Michael Wrenn as the Director of Scouting.

PBR Florida Executive Director Doug Freeman added about the addition of Wrenn, "Mike has been not only a great coach in the Tampa area, leading HCC to one game from the World Series, but a true friend and baseball person. His work ethic and drive to help baseball players across the state match our goals here with PBR Florida."

For some background, Michael played baseball while he attended Zephyrhills High School. After graduating from high school, he attended to Saint Leo University and played baseball from 1997-1999, where he graduated with a degree in Sports Management. At Saint Leo he made Second Team All-Conference in 1998 and All-Conference in 1999. In the same year he was drafted by the Minnesota Twins, where he played professional baseball for 3 years. He also played a year with Elmira Pioneers in an independent League.

After playing professional baseball, he returned to Saint Leo to coach for a year.  From 2003-2006, Michael was an assistant coach at Chamberlain High School and he left to be the Head Coach of Armwood High School in 2007.  At Armwood, he led the team to the Final Four in 2009 and State Runner-up in 2010.  In 2011, Michael became an assistant coach at Hillsborough Community College and in 2016, he became the head coach.  As the head coach at HCC, he led them to State Finals in 2018.  Michael currently resides Tampa with his wife Stacy.

Michael will start right away, helping cover the state playoff run in Florida and be out evaluating players all summer. He can be reached at [email protected]
