With the threat of storms in the forecast for the evening, No. 8 Dulaney packed their bags and headed to Towson for an early 3:15 start on Friday afternoon. The rivalry over 50 years in the making was a re-match of Dulaney's 5-1 win at home back on April 11th.

Towson struck first loading the bases on two walks and a single by Tariq Talley - for clean-up hitter and starting pitcher Noah Perkinson. Perkinson battled with two strikes and ultimately helped himself by ripping a line drive to center field for a three-RBI double.

The lead was short-lived however, as Dulaney responded by loaded the bases themselves with no outs in the top of the second with hits from Cole McGee, Tyler Tufano, and Bennett Musselman. Reid Bark delivered the big blow in the inning with a bases clearing double to knot the score back up at three.

The Lions would take their first lead of the ballgame (4-3) in the fourth when Lions starting pitcher Todd Mozoki lined one over the third baseman's head to plate Musselman who had reached base earlier in the inning on a dropped third strike.

Two costly errors in the bottom half however gifted the lead right back to Towson and after four complete at Five Star Field, it was the Generals leading Lions 5-4.

Both teams were held scoreless in the fifth inning and Dulaney would re-take the lead for the final time of the contest in the top of the sixth. Following a hit batter, walk, and strikeout, Brian Ellis singled through the six-hole scoring Connor Stewart for the tying run. Senior shortstop Bryce Frederick (Radford) then scored on a fielder's choice ground ball to second base off the bat of McGee and Tufano broke it open with a two-RBI double to make it 8-5.

Mozoki blasted an opposite field two-run homer in the top of the seventh for insurance but they wouldn't need it as fellow sophomore, Wilson Farlow was outstanding on the mound in relief of Mozoki. Farlow retired nine of the eleven batters he faced, striking out the side in the fifth, getting the Generals with ease in the sixth, and retiring the side in order to end it in the seventh.

Mozoki went the first four for Dulaney striking out eight while giving up five runs (three earned) on three hits and six walks. He was the Lions leader on offense going 3-for-4 with a double, a homerun, a run scored, and drove in three. Tufano (2-for-4, 2B, 2 RBI, R) and Bark (2-for-4, 3 RBI, R) also had nice days at the dish and Farlow earned the win striking out five in his three innings of work without allowing a hit. Perkinson went five strong for the Generals and added three RBI's.

With the win, No. 8 Dulaney finishes its Baltimore County slate with a perfect 14-0 record and improve to 18-1 overall with their final game coming on Monday at C. Milton Wright. Towson will wrap-up their season on Monday as well with a trip to Parkville looking to get back in the win column heading into the playoffs.
