DI JUCOs

Louisburg

• Defeated Cuyahoga CC 10-7 on Monday.  Phillip Boykin hit a grand slam for the Hurricanes.
• Lost to Bryant & Stratton College on Wednesday 7-6.
• Split a weekend series with USC Lancaster winning the backend of both doubleheaders. L 7-3, W 5-4, L 4-3, W 4-3
• Drew Camp collected 7 hits on the weekend with a homerun.

 

DII JUCOs

Brunswick CC

• Ranked 11^th in the latest PBR JUCO Rankings (from 3/4/19)
• Swept a Tuesday doubleheader against USC Sumter winning games 8-2 and 8-7. Easton Jones went 2-4 with a double, homerun, and 3 RBI’s in game one.
• Took 2 of 3 from Southeastern CC on the weekend. W 10-2, W 8-4, L 2-1
• Alex Reed went 2-4 with a homerun and 3 RBI’s in game one vs. Southeastern CC.

 

Catawba Valley CC

• Swept a Monday doubleheader against Limestone JV 10-0 and 9-4.  Andrew Patrick earned the win in game one, punching out 8 in 4 innings of work.
• Swept a weekend series vs. Bryant & Stratton college winning games 8-0, 16-2, and 14-3.
• Blake Dockery tossed a 7-inning complete game in game one allowing 1 hit and striking out 7.
• NC State commit Logan Bender struck out 13 in 5 innings to earn the game two win.

Wake Tech CC

• Swept midweek games vs. Cuyahoga CC winning 6-3 and 5-3.  Tyler Vaughn went 3-4 with an RBI in game one.
• Swept a weekend series vs. Fayetteville Tech CC winning games 8-7, 12-3, and 11-0.
• Kyle Jackson had 5 hits with 5 RBI’s including a homerun on the weekend.

Pitt CC

• Won a midweek game vs. Methodist JV 7-6 in 10 innings.  Garrett Tyndall went 2-3 with a homerun, double, and 2 RBI’s in the win.
• Took 2 of 3 from Lenoir CC on the weekend. W 10-4, W 8-1, L 5-1.
• Chandler Blackwelder had 5 hits on the weekend with a homerun.

Guilford Tech CC

• Defeated Greensboro College JV 5-4.  Cameron Norgen went 3-6 with 2 doubles and 2 RBI’s in the win.
• Lost 2 of 3 to Patrick Henry CC on the weekend.  W 13-10, L 9-5, L 10-2

 

Lenoir CC

• Lost 2 of 3 to Pitt CC on the weekend.  L 10-4, L 8-1, W 5-1
• Blake Gipson earned the win on the mound in game 3 tossing a complete game, striking out 12 with 0 base on balls.

Southeastern CC

• Lost a midweek game to Florence Darlington Tech CC 10-2.
• Dropped 2 of 3 to Brunswick CC.  L 10-2, L 8-4, W 2-1.
• Daniel Carter earned the mound win in game 3, going 6 innings, allowing 2 hits and striking out 6.

 

DIII JUCOs

Rockingham CC

• Swept a midweek doubleheader vs. Ferrum College JV winning 3-0 and 4-3.  Drew Colvin earned the win in game one, striking out 5 in 4 innings of work.  Ausar Rankin went 3-4 with a homerun and triple in game two.
• Defeated Greensboro College JV 8-5.  Jerred Davis was strong on the mound, going 5 innings with 5 strikeouts.

Surry CC

• Dropped a Saturday doubleheader to Paul D. Camp College. L 8-4, L 9-7
• Jacob Tuttle homered in the game one loss. Brady Dennen was 2-3 with a double and 2 RBI’s in the game two loss.
