North Carolina Team Notes
DI JUCOs
Louisburg
- Lost a midweek game to Wake Tech 8-7. Josh Baker homered with 3 RBI’s in the loss.
- Opened conference play with two loses to Spartanburg Methodist, 8-2 and 7-2.
- Justin Oakley homered and doubled in the Sunday games.
- Saturday games were cancelled due to rain.
DII JUCOs
Brunswick CC
- Defeated Kankakee CC 14-3 on Wednesday. Jalen Jenkins went 3 for 3 with a homerun.
- Lost the first game of a weekend series against Pitt CC 3-2 in 11 innings.
- Won the final two games 4-0 and 9-8. Josh Jarman and Ried Viar combined for the 7-inning shutout in game two.
Catawba Valley CC
- Swept midweek double header against Spartanburg Methodist, 10-9 & 8-5
- Willie Gordon’s 3-run walk off home run proved huge on the day, sealing the game 1 win.
- Swept midweek double header with Belmont Abbey JV, 6-5 & 5-1.
- Lost their opening game against Wake Tech CC 5-4 before bouncing back to win the series, winning games 10-0 and 12-10.
- NC State commit Logan Bender struck out 12 in the 5-inning shutout in game two.
Wake Tech CC
- Defeated Louisburg in a midweek game 8-7. Austin Bulman homered in the victory.
- Tommy Perrin delivered the walk off double in the game one 5-4 win over CVCC.
- Dropped the final two games of the series 10-0 and 12-10.
Pitt CC
- Midweek game vs. Florence Darlington was cancelled due to rain.
- Defeated Brunswick CC 3-2 in 11 innings in game one before dropping the final two games of the series 4-0 and 9-8.
- Dylan Patrick tossed 7 innings of no-hit baseball in game one.
Guilford Tech CC
- Lost a midweek game to Rockingham CC 8-7. Josh Fedele went 2 for 3 with a double and 2 RBI’s in the loss.
- Lost game one of a weekend series to Cuyahoga 5-4. Landon Dennis struck out 6 in 3 innings of work in the loss.
- Final 3 games of the series were cancelled due to rain.
Lenoir CC
- Dropped weekend series to Southeastern CC losing games 9-8 and 13-9 on Sunday.
- Saturday game was cancelled due to rain.
Southeastern CC
- Lost a midweek game to North Carolina Wesleyan College JV 6-5.
- Swept a Sunday doubleheader against Lenoir CC after being rained out on Saturday.
- The Rams collected 13 hits in the game one 9-8 victory.
- Won game two 13-9. Riley Cameron went 3-4 with 3 homeruns and 7 RBI’s in game two.
DIII JUCOs
Rockingham CC
- Defeated Guilford Tech CC 8-7 in a midweek contest. Drew Colvin struck out 6 in 3 innings of work vs. GTCC.
- Defeated Prolific Post Grad 9-4 with Gavin Taylor hitting a go-ahead grand slam.
Surry CC
- Split a midweek doubleheader against Lenoir Rhyne JV, W 11-7, L 12-10. Jacob Tuttle and Clay Taylor doubled in the game one win.
- Lost to Rowan College at Gloucester County 6-2. Brady Dennen homered in the loss.
- Remaining games against Rowan were cancelled due to rain.
