The three-team Region XX Division 3 Tournament is set to take place this weekend at Prince George's CC in Largo, MD. The back-to-back defending champion Prince George's CC Owls will be going for their third straight Region XX Championship. This weekend's winner of the Regional Tournament will host the District D best-of-three series against the winner of Region X which includes Danville CC (VA), Rockingham CC (NC), Surry CC (NC), and Thomas Nelson CC (VA).

Below is a look at the teams participating and game schedule for the weekend.

#1 CC of Allegheny County - Boyce (19-10)

#2 Prince George's CC (15-15)

#3 CC of Allegheny County - South (9-15) 

 

 

The Games

 

Friday May 10th (Pool Play Games)

Game 1: #1 CCAC - Boyce vs. #3 CCAC - South @ 10:00 AM

Game 2: #2 Prince George's CC vs. #3 CCAC - South @ 1:00 PM

Game 3: #1 CCAC - Boyce vs. #2 Prince Geroge's CC @ 4:00 PM

 

Saturday May 11th (Championship)

Scenario 1: If all three teams are 1-1 when pool play concludes, then CCAC - Boyce will automatically advance to the Championship (Game 5) by virtue of being the No. 1 seed. Under this scenario, Prince George's would then play CCAC - South in a semi-final matchup at 10:00 AM with the winner advancing to play in the Championship at 1:00 PM vs. CCAC - Boyce. 

Scenario 2: If after pool play; one team is 2-0, one team is 1-1, and one team is eliminated (0-2), then the two remaining teams will play for the championship at 10:00 AM with the one-loss team needing to beat the 2-0 team twice. The if necessary game would be played at 1:00 PM.
