PBR: Why did you choose South Mountain CC?

I chose South Mountain because I went down  on September 21st and I visited the campus and got to watch there fall game and then I got to practice with them the next day and I loved it. All the coaches were nice and the guys were all welcoming. It was a great campus and what’s not to love about Arizona!

PBR: What other schools were you considering?

The two schools that I was considering the most were Garden City CC and Butler CC

PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you? How did your relationship develop with them?

I had the help of Tim Povich because his son Cade went there. He did a lot of reaching out for me and just had to send video. Then when I got down there I threw a bullpen in front of them, They also had contact with Bob Hlavac.  So a lot of it was just the coaching staff from South Mountain trusting who they talked to.

PBR: Was there one deciding factor that put your choice over the top?

The really big one was how far I really wanted to go it was either better 4-6 hours or 20 hours away from home and it was a big decision but I think I’ll be able to handle it!

PBR: Who has helped you the most to get to where you are today?

My dad and all my coaches in the past because my dad helped me get to practice at a young age and helped me get better along with my coaches but I also think coming into my freshman year being on reserve then my sophomore year being on JV I really just strive to get better because I wasn’t at the point where I wanted to be.

PBR: What plans does the coaching staff have in store for you in your freshman season?

I talk to Coach Turk a little bit about where they see me and it’s just really how hard I’m going to work and how well I’m doing to earn a spot as a starter which I want to be.

PBR: You played for the Nebraska Prospects last summer, what was that experience like?

Playing with the Nebraska Prospects the experience was good for me because I to pitch and compete against really good talent and also get lots of exposure.

PBR: What is your most memorable baseball moment to date?

One of my most memorable moments was pitching in the state championship game because of the atmosphere and I pitched probably my best game ever

PBR: Who is the best player you have competed against?

I would say Max Anderson because he is very good and can be tough to pitch too.
