The Georgetown Prep Little Hoyas Ryan Gleason threw a 13 stirkeout no-hitter while the offense was in fluid form en route to a 7-0 victory over the St. Albans Bulldogs.

The Little Hoyas had it going early and often, striking almost immediately after a clean tap half of the frame. Cian Sahler got it started with a 1-out single to right field and moved to second after a walk to catcher Travis Rinker. Lucas Donlon (Virginia Tech) would then hit a deep double over the left fielders head that scored both runners and Prep was up 2-0. Matt Kaye would then follow up with a single to right that scored Donlon making it 3-0 Little Hoyas after the first frame.

The game would cruise after the first as the Prep offense would threaten each frame, but not no avail.  Gleason, however,  began an impressive stretch after the first inning where he got 16 of the next 17 hitters out.

Prep would then again strike in the bottom of the fifth inning after Donlon and Kaye would lead off the inning with back-to-back singles. A sac bunt would move both runners into scoring position. Then a sac fly would score one and the Little Hoyas added another after an error on the same play. Donlon would add a two-RBI single to right in the bottom of the sixth inning that made the score 7-0.

Gleason was dominant in his start, establishing his fastball early and attacking hitters. He faced more than four hitters only twice, in the first and seventh inning. It was an impressive appearance for the senior, only getting stronger as the game progressed.

Prep was led by Donlon, who went 3-for-3 with four RBI and two runs scored. Kaye added in a 3-for-4 day with an RBI.

Both teams will square off again on Thursday at St. Albans.
